The 2023 Buick Encore GX is the fourth model year for the current first-gen crossover nameplate, introducing a few updates and changes over the preceding 2022 model year. Now, the official 2023 Buick Encore GX online configurator is live.
As GM Authority covered previously, the 2022 Buick Encore GX got a small price increase earlier in the 2022 calendar year. Looking over the latest configurator listings, it seems as through pricing for the 2023 Buick Encore GX is identical to the updated 2022 model-year pricing.
As such, the least-expensive 2023 Buick Encore GX on offer is the Preferred trim level with front-wheel drive and the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, which is $25,595, including destination freight charge. Meanwhile, the most-expensive configuration is the 2023 Buick Encore GX Essence ST with all-wheel drive and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, which is $32,985, plus destination freight charge.

The powertrain options include the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, which is rated at 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, which is rated at 155 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 174 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Transmission options include either the GM continuously variable automatic transmission or the GM nine-speed automatic, depending on the drivetrain configuration. Under the skin, the small crossover rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set.
Production of the 2023 Buick Encore GX began at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea on April 24th, 2022, as GM Authority was the first to report. GM Authority also exclusively reported that the 2023 model-year crossover would begin production without the Rear Park Assist feature.
Compared to the 2022 model year, the 2023 Buick Encore GX drops the Satin Steel Metallic paint option, replacing it with a new hue dubbed Moonstone Gray Metallic.

It would get even better MPG if it was a little bigger and didn’t have to work as hard. Might even last longer too. Leave the peanuts at home!
