General Motors pulled the sheets on the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 in September of 2021, showing off a long list of updates and changes, including a completely overhauled cabin space. Now, we’re checking out the 2022 Chevy Silverado’s new cabin, as featured in the following brief video advertisement.
Clocking in at just 30 seconds, the video centers around the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country, the most luxurious trim level in the refreshed Silverado lineup. We see the driver receive a text message telling him to meet a group of mountain bikers at the bottom of a trail, which he accesses using the onboard 13.4-inch diagonal touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, equipped as standard.
However, when the driver pulls up, he notices that the trail (and the bikers) are covered in mud. As the dirty passengers approach the Chevy Silverado High Country, the driver glances around the pristine cabin, which includes perforated leather seating surfaces, as well as wood inlays for the doors, center console, and dash, plus silver trim bits.
As one might expect, the driver starts to get nervous, locking the doors to prevent the bikers from climbing in.
“With a sophisticated, high-tech interior, it’s easy to forget it’s a truck,” the narrator says.
The driver finally acquiesces, unlocking the doors to let the muddy bikers onboard.
“Nice truck!” one of them says.
“It was,” the driver responds.
Under the hood, the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country is offered with three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Elsewhere in the lineup, the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado is also offered with the turbocharged 2.7 I4 L3B gasoline engine.
Under the body panels, the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 rides on the GM T1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Silao plant in Mexico, the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, and the GM Oshawa plant in Canada.

Oh no, using a truck as a truck. Reminds me of the “city slickers” on the Cars movie.
And this is why truck prices have sky rocketed. Trucks are used as family haulers, and luxury vehicles now instead of actual work trucks. Prices are out of control.
Shut that cylinder deactivation crap off and if the lifters still fail put in the eliminator kit,the transmissions fail because of the torque converters a billet converter cover and an updated piston fix the problems. These are not fixes available at dealers you need informed independent techs, dealers like keeping you coming back for those fat paydays.
