GM released all the official details on the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V earlier this month, including its powertrain specifications and performance metrics, so let’s take a closer look at what makes this impressive super SUV worthy of its steep $150,000 asking price.
The centerpiece of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade is, of course, its supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which produces 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. The version of the LT4 that sits under the hood of the Escalade-V is equipped with a 2.65-liter supercharger, as opposed to the 1.7-liter supercharger used on other vehicles featuring this supercharged Small Block.

As a GM fan and the owner of both a Camaro SS and a C7 Grand Sport, I can applaud GM for doing this.
I love performance vehicles, but the Escalade V is more or less for bragging rights. It weighs as much as a 2-ton dump truck; therefore it won’t handle worth a damn and it costs well over $100,000. I’m assuming if people have an extra $150k to dispose of AND they want to dust somebody (in a straight line) while driving their kids home from soccer practice, then this is the ride for them.
In the end, it is still an impressive machine.
The Escalade-V will no doubt become a collectors car as one of the last true barnstormers with monster Supercharged V8 Powered gassers to come out of Detroit. I do wish they’d have done some more performance inspired seating for driver and passenger. Nonetheless, I’m already in line and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of this beauty. Way to go GM and Cadillac.
is black the only available color for the interior of the ESCALADE V
According to GM Authority sources, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will be available in the following five exterior paint colors (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)

Black Raven (GBA)
Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
Dark Emerald Metallic (G6N)
Also maybe a dark red?
INTERIOR COLORS BESIDES BLACK ??
Only 2 interior colors, Black and Dark Auburn.
Quite an act elevating conspicuous consumption to high art while tirelessly blowing Woke up everyone’s a$$ 24/7
The 6.2 is already get horrible gas mileage, and with gas where it’s at today good luck. People who buy this are just gonna park it. And then the dealerships are gonna add 50+k on top of it…. GM how about you focus on dependable, affordable vehicles.
Imagine all the soccer moms that will smoke you? Lol.
This reminds me of a time not long ago while driving my Jeep SRT and some old lady pulled up next to me and said: “Dat SRRTee, Dis Trrack Hawkk”. Had a russian accent. Lol
Super cool truck but that starting price has probably knocked out alot of potential buyers. Hoping they do a Tahoe SS version that’s more appealing.
Needs a bigger fuel tank!
I have a 40gal gasoline tank in my Chevrolet Suburban and love it is that an opinion for the Escalade-V ESV or can I get something even bigger?
