The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V upends tradition with the creation of a new high-performance variant of the popular luxury SUV lineup, stuffing a supercharged V8 under the hood and adding the aesthetic enhancements to match. Now, GM Authority has learned information regarding the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V’s exterior paint offerings.
According to GM Authority sources, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will be available in the following five exterior paint colors (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
- Dark Emerald Metallic (G6N)
To note, Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, and Dark Emerald Metallic are new for the 2023 model year. None of the five exterior colors listed above are exclusive to the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V. We should also point out that Dark Emerald Metallic paint is different from the Dark Emerald Frost paint option offered in limited quantities for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, with the big difference being that Dark Emerald Metallic has a metallic finish, whereas Dark Emerald Frost has a matte finish.
The main party piece in the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which doles out a maximum of 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. Output is routed through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, which feeds a full-time active all-wheel drive system with variable torque splitting and electronic limited-slip differential. Complementary upgrades include Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive suspension, both equipped as standard, as well as exclusive six-piston Brembo front brakes with Edge Red calipers.
In terms of aesthetics, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V offers a number of unique touches inside and out, including a more-aggressive front and rear fascia treatment, 22-inch wheels, and quad exhaust tips.
Pricing for the new Escalade-V starts at $149,990, making it the most-expensive Cadillac model ever offered. Under the skin is the GM T1 platform, while production will take place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
