  1. Now they are paying people to buy the 4 bangers, see I told you so!

  2. Brother has a 90’s Chev truck and retired this year and is looking to buy a 21 or 22 new truck but has sticker shock and has post traumatic shock and stopped looking in February. He’s waiting for a 6 -7K discount to start looking again, but his favorite truck starts at 56k and after options, 69k…

It’s obvious he hasn’t followed the price increases over the years and will probably end up keeping his truck until it falls apart or end up a buying used 2015 to 2019 with low miles to be in his price range but doubt it since inflation is killing the gas prices for weekend trips to his lake property, which he may end up selling the property as well due to gas prices and taxes to maintain it. I think his roundtrip miles to his lake property is around 500 miles not including other expenses like food and other expenses.

Sounds like the retiree syndrome of budget and inflation, higher taxes, poor stock market, shortages of goods, and the worse is gas prices.

  3. I continue to see commercials and other media advertisements for GM trucks. It would seem as if GM should be prioritizing the production of sold/ reserve orders already accepted rather than trying to appeal to new customers. As I understand it, GM has several thousand customers waiting on sold units. Why aren’t they prioritizing production of these orders, rather than trying to attract new customers? I had someone tell me that after waiting for over three months to receive the Denali 1500, he went to the GM dealership, cancel the order and requested the return of his $1,000.00 deposit. Subsequently, he went and purchased an F-150. I purchased A Denali 1500 in March and placed a $1,000.00 deposit on the unit as well. I will give GM until mid-June, and if I don’t have the truck by then, I’m also going in a different direction. I’m just not waiting 6-8 months on a truck! I think GM should prioritize building units already sold prior to marketing an appeal to attract new customers! “A bird in the hand is worth more than — in the tree”!
