Cadillac is offering deals to move inventory, but one local dealer, here in Florida, is adding a nearly $7000 markup.
A $55,000 CT5, Premium Luxury, will lease for over $800 per month with 10,000 mile per year. I’m sorry but that car just ain’t worth it. And I think charging a $7000 mark-up is BAD Business.
Another dealer in my area is adding mark ups to cars purchased, at lease end. The Salesman told me that GM Financial was adding the Mark-up, but when I checked with GM Financial, I was told that they were NOT.
So self-defeating and frustrating to watch…GM offers discounts while dealers mark them up. This conflict doesn’t help build the brand and the dealer mark-ups (that GM does nothing meaningful to control on any of its cos.) just pushes cross-shoppers to foreign makes.
They should just focus on financing specials…low interest rates on any model to attract ppl.
