Following the world debut of the all-new 2023 Chevy Tracker RS, the reveal of its new interior and the start of a pre-order period, GM has just officially launched the 2023 Chevy Tracker RS in China.
The all-new Chevy Tracker RS enters the Chinese market as the first performance-focused subcompact crossover in Chevrolet‘s history. The RS trim, one of the most sought after by customers worldwide, will be the nameplate’s range-topping version in China. SAIC-GM, the main joint venture in the Asian country, presented the final details and began sales of the new Chevy Tracker RS in the world’s largest and most important automotive market.
“The all-new Tracker RS represents the latest statement of Chevrolet’s global SUV strength and leadership,” said General Director of Chevrolet for SAIC-GM, Jack Uppal, in a statement. “The standard RS trim gives it a more refined and powerful persona that reflects the brand’s racing DNA and local consumers’ desire for more personalized choices, enhanced connectivity, greater efficiency, and an uncompromising level of safety,” he added.
The all-new 2023 Chevy Tracker RS launches in China with three finishes, with names inspired by the smartphone industry, including Tracker RS Cool, Tracker RS Pro, and Tracker RS Max. All three come with a horizontal dashboard panel housing two side-by-side 10.25-inch screens and the latest operating system with the highest level of connectivity.
However, the most striking new feature of the 2023 Chevy Tracker RS is its 1.5L Ecotec turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 181 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, making it Chevy’s most potent subcompact crossover around the world. The engine is exclusively matched to a new continuously variable automatic transmission.
The all-new 2023 Chevy Tracker RS is now available for sale throughout the Chevrolet dealership network in China, where it is offered with an advanced active safety package and an 8-year/99,420-mile (160,000 km) warranty. This new version of the Tracker strengthens the manufacturer’s portfolio and joins the Chevy Trailblazer, Chevy Equinox, and Chevy Blazer, three utility vehicles already sold in the Asian country.
Here are the suggested prices for the 2023 Chevy Tracker RS in China:
- Tracker RS Cool: 109,900 Yuan (about $16,520 at current the exchange rate)

Another name that would naturally fit a Bronco and Wrangler competitor wasted…
Those who thumbed down, tell me why I’m wrong. I know that Blazer is the preferred moniker, but Tracker totally fits the bill, or have you forgotten the little off-roader with a removable top from the ’90s?
Where is our warrenty-8 yrs???? screw china buy American
The latest news of MANY “woke” American Company CEOs divesting from manufacturing their products in China has been long overdue & welcomed. Even the far left Globalist “Progressives” at Apple are moving I-phone production out of Communist China. Better hustle before the CCP decides to move on Tiawan or you Apple peeps are F’d!!
Meanwhile, Queen MaryB & her clueless Court are eyeing that short term $$$ from the communists, apparently doubling down on investment in CCP Land. Sounds like Dumb & dumber running gm into a hot mess they can’t get out of.
