GM will apply minor changes to the Chevy Camaro for the 2023 model year. This will include the addition of the new Radiant Red and Sharkskin Metallic exterior colors. Radiant Red will be offered with the Camaro’s various exterior Design Package equipment groups, while Sharkskin Metallic will be available with the Shock and Steel Special Edition package.

Production of the 2023 Chevy Camaro will take place alongside the Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT5 sedans at the GM Lansing Grand River Factory in Michigan. The Chevy Camaro rides on the GM Alpha platform, while the CT4 and CT5 use the closely related Alpha 2 platform.

  2. Got one earlier in 2022. Camaro handles well and is a blast to drive. Good performance value too.

    1. One of the best parts about being a Camaro owner for me is the fact that I rarely see other Camaros on the road. I see Mustangs everywhere, and it no longer has that uniqueness anymore.

And yea the handling on these 6th gen Camaros is unreal, it handles more like a Miata/BRZ than you would expect but with way more power. You can throw this car into turns and corners and it feels so controlled/confident/predictable.

      1. What have they done to the look of that beautiful sports car? It has evolved over 12 years to look like a plastic toy now.

  3. Well considering the 2022 new style Silverado and Sierra have gone up 3 times for a total of $4700 on many models in 3 months an 800 dollar increase from one model year to the next isn’t too bad. Note Ford has raised prices on the Mustang to where a base model now starts at 28,600 for 2022!

  4. I was next to a ZL1 yesterday, noisy. But gorgeous. Looked like raw power, very impressive.

    1. I just ordered a 2023 1LS today, but I’m first in line at my dealership for that model so they may have just opened up ordering. We were told that our model would finish manufacturing in September. I heard from others online that 2022 production ends in August but that may not be true considering 2023 orders are out already.

      1. Congrats. Even the barebones 1LS is a great car. The only thing I would suggest is to get the bigger 20” wheels and 245 all season tire package. You will get the better handling and cornering performance without spending extra money on the RS package. The base 18” wheel/tires on the 1LS isn’t as wide. I have 18” wheels for my winters, and there is a noticeable difference in the handling compared to the 20” 245’s.

  7. Yo torch red 2021….you were next to a ZL1 and it was noisy??? Well it might depend on what the exhaust setting was. I have a new 2022 ZL1 and I can change the “noise” as I see fit with a button push. Oh, just love my ZL1 and most people do too at car shows.

  9. Back in 2020 I got a brand new 2019 1LT RS 2.0T Camaro with sunroof and 8 speed for $24k USD from the dealership.
Now a barebones 1LS model is selling for $27k. I think it’s true what Bobby Bolivia said in Transformers “A driver don’t pick the cars. Mmm-mm. Cars pick the driver. It’s a mystical bond between man and machine”. lol

  10. In 1976 I bought a new Camaro for $3,000. Put 70,000 miles on it and sold it for $3,000. Now the one I’m getting is over $37,000. I really miss that ride.

    1. Yea but with inflation, that $3000 from the 70’s is probably worth $30k in todays money.

      1. Actually it’s only $15,273.00

        1. Wow… imagine getting a new Camaro for $15k in todays money. But then again todays cars are a lot more capable with all the new tech. Much better mpg, better handling, more tech, and even the 2.0T and 3.6L V6 puts down the same performance if not better than the V8’s from the 70’s-90’s.

    2. $3,000 for new ’76 Camaro was a super deal! MSRP for a bare bones ’76 Camaro with an inline 6 and a 3 speed manual (no a/c) was $3,762.

  11. Hi, what will be the look of the 2023 Camaro? I ordered and 2SS today but the dealer can not show me how it will look. Their will be no changes for the 2023!! Well so he says.

    1. Chevy will change only what is required for production. The 23’ is a carryover model.

Expect the changes to be limited to price increases and option unavailability

  16. 07/28/22 I ordered a 2023 ZL1; 08/11/22 dealer informed me the event code progressed from 1100 to 3000 with projected production wk. of 08/29/22. hopefully that indicates that the car will indeed be built.i was lucky that the dealership had an open allocation. I was braced for disappointment based on a few horror stories from various threads that I have read; so this was unexpected good news. I have projected delivery sometime in mid October. the wait is on……… with fingers crossed! for those that have ordered and worry about chip shortages and other constraints; I will post the progress of my order.dennis

  17. I been a camaro guy my entire life. I favor the 2nd generation (still have 3) my 5th generation SS was a nice car also but I just got my 23 radiant red ZL1 and this car is amazing at everything looks, handling, speed, sound I can’t say enough and I am hard to impress. My 3rd generation is a drag car and I love doing laps in that but I really think I have a new favorite ride. I also just bought a 23 Silverado 2500 Duramax that I am very impressed with. GM definitely kicked their game up 100 notches. Great job GM.
