2023 Cadillac Lyriq Pricing Announced In Canada

GM has confirmed pricing for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq in Canada.

The battery-electric luxury crossover will start at C$69,898 including destination and freight charges for the rear-wheel-drive model. Deliveries of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq in rear-wheel-drive form will commence in Canada this fall.

Canadian pricing for the all-wheel-drive Cadillac Lyriq is currently not available. U.S. pricing for the Lyriq RWD starts at $62,990, with the Lyriq AWD carrying a $2,000 price premium, raising the starting price to $64,990. With this in mind, it seems likely the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq AWD will occupy the low $70,000 price range in Canada. GM has yet to provide official specs for the Lyriq AWD, with the automaker only saying this model “adds a second drive unit, placed at the front of the vehicle to enhance vehicle dynamics and performance even further for drivers.” However, a recent GM China press release states the Lyriq AWD boasting more than 500 horsepower and 524 pound-feet of torque

Power in the U.S.-spec Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition, which features the RWD powertrain, comes from a single motor Ultium Drive powertrain rated at 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, along with a 12-module, 100 kWh Ultium battery pack providing an estimated 312 miles of driving range on a full charge. The Canadian-spec Cadillac Lyriq RWD has a Natural Ressources Canada driving range rating of 502 kilometers (312 miles).

GM Canada had racked up roughly 1,800 reservations for the Cadillac Lyriq as of the beginning of April, in addition to roughly 17,000 “hand-raisers” that have registered their interest in the vehicle. Cadillac also launched an ad campaign for the Cadillac Lyriq in Canada last year starring Ontario-based tennis star Bianca Andreescu to promote its impending launch.

The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edtion began rolling off the line at GM’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in late March. U.S. deliveries of the battery-electric luxury crossover will begin this summer, with regular series production models with the RWD powertrain set to start shipping this fall. The first AWD models will commence deliveries early next year as a 2023MY product.

GM will begin accepting orders for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq in series production form on May 19th. Up until this point, the only model available for pre-order was the limited-run Debut Edition.

  1. Interesting that there’s no price difference between the Debut and the normal 2023 rwd model like there is in the US. I wonder why…

I WOULD BE INTERESTED BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE CADDY DEALER IN WINDSOR ONTARIO AND I DO NOT TRUST THEM AND THEY MADE ME DRIVE NUMEROUS TIMES FOR WHAT I BELIEVE SOMEONE MESSED WITH THE COMPUTER TO GET MORE WORK ON MY CTS COUPE HAVING TO LEAVE MY HANY CAPPED WIFE HOME ALONE AS IT WAS A 70 MINUTE DRIVE! PLUS A $ 100.00 DOLLAR LITHIUM BATTERY CHARGER DISAPPEARED FROM BEHIND THE SEAT AND NO ONE HAD EVER BEEN IN THAT CAR EXCEPT THEM AND ME!!
