Earlier this month, GM Authority revealed the five exterior colors the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will be available to order in. Now we’ve obtained the first images of the Escalade-V in all five of the available exterior colors, giving us a better idea of what this upcoming performance luxury SUV will look like in different build specifications.
The upcoming high-performance version of GM’s popular full-size luxury SUV will introduce offer three new exterior colors, including Argent Silver Metallic (paint code GXD), Dark Emerald Metallic (G6N) and Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT). It will also stick with two existing colors from the 2022 model year Escalade: Black Raven (GBA) and Crystal White Tricoat (G1W). None of these exterior colors are exclusive to the Escalade-V.
While there will be no exclusive exterior colors attracting customers to the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, customers will mainly be drawn-in by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which produces 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm.
Output of this supercharged V8 is sent to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, which routes power to a full-time active all-wheel drive system with variable torque splitting and an electronic limited-slip differential. Other performance pieces include standard Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive suspension and six-piston Brembo front brakes with Edge Red calipers.
Onlookers will be able to easily identify 2023 Escalade-V models thanks to its unique front and rear fasciae, 22-inch wheels and quad-tip exhausts. Large V-Series badges will also reside on the front doors and rear liftgate.
Pricing for the new Escalade-V starts at $149,990, making it the most-expensive Cadillac model ever. The high-performance Escalade-V sticks with the same GM T1 platform as the standard non-Escalade and is produced at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Judging by that green, whoever is in charge of naming colors doesn’t understand the concept of “dark”.
I have my Blackwing 4 in Dark Emerald Frost. It’s really hard to capture the color on photo or even in a generated image, it’s actually dark and looks like a grey sometimes.
They won’t sell one to me…I don’t like any of the colors.
I thought the “V” implied sport and/or performance…if so, none of these colors convey that to me. Just a bunch of normal Cadillac colors that would work on any model they make.
Are you looking for brighter colors? If so, you will be waiting a lot longer or just paint the vehicle thru the shop the color of your choice. The Escalade V for this type of market will have more of a conservative color palette. Look at the high-end AMGs from the S Class, G Class and GLS, RS from Audi and etc. All high-end ultra performance models rarely have loud colors because the market they cater to. The color selection is fine but more additional colors should be offered.
Not brighter/louder, but some more non-metallic options would be nice. Porsche (just to name one other premium brand) has figured out a more attractive color palette for a broader set of buyers, plus (for more $) they’ll paint to sample any color I want. This Caddy in Porsche’s chalk color would look great to me…
When you speak of the market they cater to, they’re missing at least one person they should be catering to…otherwise, I agree that these are all fine, but more color options would be the solution I’m seeking.
And in fairness, Tesla is the worst for color options.
I have a Porsche. Why are people complaining about no-PTS (basically your own color)? That’s a $12K+ option usually just for the GT3 fanatics. I got my Cayenne Turbo in White. I didn’t buy it to be flashy and crazy, just for its performance. A good low 3’s 0-60 with typical Porsche quality. That said, a big land yacht like the Navigator with 700HP would be fun. This Cadillac might appeal, but if it’s just your plastic GM Caddy with a bigger V8, pass.
The 5 colors are very subtle, as the customers probably want it, because the marketing knows what Cadillac customers want. Subtle is always good.
As far as I can imagine, Cadillac will soon be offering special paintwork for the Escalade-V, depending on customer requirements.
I read somewhere that new Cadillac customers are now investing a lot more money in a Cadillac and therefore want more individual color and equipment options. Similar to Porsche and Mercedes.
I like it!
No Dark Moon Blue Metallic, good grief! Green, the marketing gods of GM chose green. WTH, is this 1978? Generic ass colors. Sad Silver, Green Gag, Geriatric Red, White Diamond (cool in 1994), Every car is black Black.
PERSONALLY FOR THE MONEY BEING CHARGED , I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ANY COLOUR TO BE OFFERD THAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS FOR A RESONABLE EXTRA FEE IF TRULY REQUIRED . ALSO INTERIOR COLOURS AS WELL !.
