The 2023 Cadillac CT5 will ditch five previously available exterior colors, GM Authority has learned.
The following exterior colors from the 2022 Cadillac CT5 color palette will not return for the 2023 model year (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Diamond Sky Metallic (G9F)
- Satin Steel Metallic (G9K)
- Shadow Metallic (GJI)
- Garnet Metallic (GLR)
- Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)
Diamond Sky Metallic was only available on the Premium Luxury trim level, while Garnet Metallic was only offered on Luxury and Premium Luxury. Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic and Infrared Tintcoat were available on Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.
Here are all three of the new exterior colors that will be added to the 2023 Cadillac CT5 order books, which will all require an extra charge:
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Midnight Steel Metallic (GXU)
Photos of the 2023 Cadillac CT5 in these new exterior colors are currently unavailable.
The 2022 Cadillac CT5 is produced at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. The Cadillac CT5-V, the CT5-V Blackwing, the Cadillac CT4 sedan and the Chevy Camaro sports coupe are also produced at the same central Michigan facility.
The Cadillac CT5 is available with two engine options across its three trim levels: the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, both matched to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Under the skin is the GM Alpha 2 platform.

Instead of losing paint colors, it would be better if the CT5 lost that ugly C-pillar and styled it more like the CT4
Ugly? It’s a little style piece, it’s far from “ugly”…
Just my luck. Got a 2022 in garnet metallic and they discontinue the color. Just like after I took delivery of my Pontiac, they scrapped the line up. But black white gray and silver doesn’t seem to ever go away….
Silver/gray are 3 of the 5 colors being dropped. But you only could read that Garnet Red was dropped?
When does the model year change over happen to 23s? Any other known changes?
My dealer said the model year just changed today (6/13).
I appreciate the creative color nomenclature but could you include a less creative identification or even a color swatch that would actually give an idea of what the color is?
Well said Greg .
lets go back to the 1950s colors , exterior and interiors
