2022 GMC Sierra Gets Heated And Ventilated Seats Back

The 2022 GMC Sierra HD and fully refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 once again offering heated and ventilated seats, GM Authority has learned.

According to GM Authority sources, all new units of the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 that would normally be equipped with Heated front seats (RPO code KA1), Ventilated front seats (RPO code KQV) and Heated outboard rear seats (KA6) will once again be equipped with those features, as of April 24th production. What’s more, all new units of the 2022 GMC Sierra HD that would normally be equipped with Heated front seats and ventilated front seats will once again be equipped with those features, also as of April 24th production.

All of these features were previously under constraint since March 14th production for both the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra and the 2022 GMC Sierra HD.

For refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 models, Heated front seats are normally equipped as standard on all trim levels with the exception of the base-level Pro, while Ventilated front seats and Heated outboard seats are normally offered as optional for the SLT trim, and equipped as standard for AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trim levels. Ventilated front seats and Heated outboard seats are not offered for GMC Sierra 1500 Pro, SLE, or Elevation trim levels.

To note, the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trim levels were all unaffected by constraints for the Heated front seats and Ventilated front seats, while AT4X and Denali Ultimate were unaffected by constraints for the Heated outboard rear seats.

With regard to units of the 2022 GMC Sierra HD, Heated front seats are normally offered as optional for SLE trim levels, and equipped as standard for SLT, AT4, and Denali trim levels, while the feature is not available for the base-level Pro trim. Additionally, Ventilated front seats are normally offered as optional for SLT trim levels, and equipped as standard for AT4 and Denali. Pro and SLE trim levels do not offer Ventilated front seats.

The 2022 GMC Sierra HD Denali was unaffected by constraints for the Heated front seats and Ventilated front seats.

Finally, Heated outboard rear seats (RPO code KA6) are still under constraint for GMC Sierra HD models, as is the Ventilated seat cushion blower motor. With regard to this latter component, the ventilated seat function will be inoperable for models affected by this constraint, even when equipped with the Ventilated seat module. Additionally, Front and Rear Park Assist (RPO code UD5) is also still under constraint.

Supposedly they will contact GM to find out why it couldn’t be programmed. That’s 1 week ago. Don’t think I would recommend GM ever. HELP GM Rep where are you?

  13. I’ve had my 2022 Sierra now one and a half years and still waiting for my heated steering wheel. I know another guy who bought his Sierra 5 months after me and he had his seats and steering wheel already installed. GM is a joke. Why do the new tricks come through with these extras and the people who ordered previously still have to wait? I’m paying for a finance charge for something promised that I don’t have. We should get together as a group and go to the news and an attorney.
