The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is the third model year of the first-generation crossover nameplate, introducing only a handful of changes and updates over the preceding 2021 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2022 Cadillac XT6 is once again available with the wireless phone charging feature.
According to GM Authority sources, all units of the 2022 Cadillac XT6 that would normally be equipped with wireless phone charging will now once again include the feature. Wireless phone charging is tagged with RPO code K4C, and is normally equipped as standard on 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury and 2022 Cadillac XT6 Sport trim levels. The feature is not available for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 Luxury.
Wireless phone charging was previously under constraint for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 since July of the 2021 calendar year as a result of the ongoing global microchip shortage. Although this constraint is now lifted, other features for the XT6 are still under constraint, including the heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3), as well as front and rear park assist (RPO code UD5).
As GM Authority covered previously, the heated and ventilated seat features for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 was also previously under constraint, but that constraint has since been lifted.
With regard to updates, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 introduces the new Onyx Lite Package, as GM Authority reported in April.
As for the powertrain, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 can be had with one of two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Under the body panels, the Cadillac XT6 rides on the extended-length GM C1 platform. Production for the North America market takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
