2022 Cadillac XT6 Gets Heated And Ventilated Seats Back

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is the third model year for the first-generation crossover nameplate, introducing only a few small changes and updates compared to the preceding 2021 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the constraints for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 regarding the crossover’s heated and ventilated seats have been lifted.

According to GM Authority sources, all units of the 2022 Cadillac XT6 that would normally be equipped with heated front seats, ventilated front seats, and heated outboard rear seats will once again include these features, as of May 1st production. These features were previously under constraint since March 14th production as a result of the ongoing global microchip shortage.

For those who may be unaware, Heated front seats for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 are tagged with RPO code KA1, and are normally equipped as standard for all three trim levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. To note, the Cadillac XT6 Sport trim was unaffected by the recent feature constraint.

Ventilated front seats are tagged with RPO code KU9, and are normally offered as optional for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. The Sport trim was also unaffected by the Ventilated front seats constraint. The feature is not offered with the 2022 Cadillac XT6 Luxury trim level.

Finally, Heated outboard rear seats are tagged with RPO code KA6, and are normally offered as optional for 2022 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, but are not offered for the Luxury trim.

Unfortunately, Front and rear park assist is still under constraint for the 2022 Cadillac XT6.

As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin is the GM C1 platform, while production for North America takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
