2022 Cadillac XT5 Gets Wireless Phone Charging Back

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is the sixth model year for the first-generation crossover nameplate, introducing only a few small changes and updates over the preceding 2021 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2022 Cadillac XT5 is once again available with the wireless phone charging feature.
According to GM Authority sources, all units of the 2022 Cadillac XT5 that would normally be equipped with wireless phone charging will once again include this tech feature. The feature was previously under constraint since July of 2021 as a result of the ongoing global microchip shortage.
The wireless phone charging feature for the 2022 Cadillac XT5 is tagged with RPO code K4C, and is normally equipped as standard for Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. Wireless phone charging is not available for the Luxury trim level.
While wireless phone charging is once again available, several other features of the 2022 Cadillac XT5 are still under constraint, including the heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3), plus front and rear park assist (RPO code UD5).
With regard to the latest 2022 model year, Cadillac XT5 update highlights include two new exterior colors, new wheel options, and deletion of the Near Field Communication mobile device pairing feature.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT5 is available with two powertrain options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm, as well as the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. Both powerplants mate to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, while front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are both available to put the power down.
Under the body panels, the 2022 Cadillac XT5 rides on the regular wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform. Production for the North American market takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
