The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is the sixth model year for the first-generation crossover, introducing only a few small changes and updates compared to the 2021 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that all units of the 2022 Cadillac XT5 that would normally be equipped with heated and ventilated seats will once again include those features.
According to GM Authority sources, all units of the 2022 Cadillac XT5 that would normally be equipped with heated front seats, ventilated front seats, and heated outboard rear seats will be built with those features, as of May 1st production. These feature were previously under constraint for the 2022 Cadillac XT5 since March 14th production.
Heated front seats (RPO code KA1) are normally standard for all trim levels of the 2022 Cadillac XT5, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. To note, the 2022 Cadillac XT5 Sport trim was unaffected by this previous constraint. Additionally, Ventilated front seats (RPO code KU9) are normally optional for 2022 Cadillac XT5 Premium Luxury and Sport trims. Once again, the Sport trim was unaffected by the previous ventilated seat constraint. Ventilated front seats are not offered for the 2022 Cadillac XT5 Luxury. Finally, Heated outboard rear seats (RPO code KA6) are normally optional for 2022 Cadillac XT5 Premium Luxury and Sport trims levels, and not offered for the Luxury trim.
Although constraints for the heated and ventilated seats have been lifted, the constraint on the 2022 Cadillac XT5’s heated steering wheel is still in effect, as is the constraint for the crossover’s front and rear park assist feature.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac is available with either the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, or the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Both engines mate with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. Under the body panels, the XT5 rides on the GM C1 platform, with production for North America taking place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
