The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is once again available with Front and Rear Park Assist (RPO code UD5) after the feature was removed due to a supply issue.
Starting with the April 10th production date, all 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing units will be built with Front and Rear Park Assist and, if applicable, Reverse Automatic Braking (RPO UVZ). These features had been under constraint since the January 24th production date due to the semiconductor chip shortage and were thus not installed on any 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing units between that date and April 9th.
All 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing models come standard with Front and Rear Park Assist. The Reverse Automatic Braking feature, meanwhile, comes standard on models with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission but is not available in conjunction with the standard six-speed manual. The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is produced at the GM Spring Hill plant alongside the regular Cadillac CT5-V and CT5, along with the closely related Cadillac CT4 and its variants, as well as the Chevy Camaro sports coupe.
The Front and Rear Park Assist and Reverse Automatic Braking features are still under constraint for the regular Cadillac CT5-V, as well as the run-of-the-mill Cadillac CT5. These features come standard on the Cadillac CT5-V, as well as on the Cadillac CT5 in the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. They are not available to order on the base Luxury trim level.
Power in the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing comes from a supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which is rated at 668 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 659 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. Output is routed exclusively to the rear wheels by way of either a GM six-speed manual transmission or GM 10-speed automatic. Pricing starts at $85,615 including destination and freight charges.
