2022 Cadillac CT4 Gets Heated And Ventilated Seats Back

According to GM Authority sources, all units of the 2022 Cadillac CT4 that would normally be equipped with heated front seats and ventilated front seats will once again include these features, as of May 1st production.

As covered previously, heated front seats and ventilated front seats for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 were under constraint since March 14th as a result of the ongoing global microchip shortage. Critically, it should be mentioned that the ventilated seat blower motors are still under constraint, which means that affected units of the 2022 Cadillac CT4 will not have functioning ventilated seats, even when equipped with the ventilated front seat module.

The heated front seats feature for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 is tagged with RPO code KA1, and is normally included with the Cold Weather Package (RPO code Y19) for the Luxury trim. The feature is also included with the Climate Package (RPO code Y6F) for the Premium Luxury trim, and either the Cold Weather Package (RPO code Y19) or the Climate Package (RPO code Y6F) for the Sport trim.

Meanwhile, ventilated front seats are tagged with RPO code KU9, and are normally included in the Climate Package (RPO code Y6F) for Premium Luxury and Sport trims. Ventilated front seats are not offered for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 Luxury trim.

Per usual, units built without these features will be identified as such by their window sticker. These features will also be eligible for a retrofit later this year.

The 2022 Cadillac CT4 is the third model year for the luxury sedan nameplate, and is available with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine. Output for the LSY is rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm, while the L3B produces 310 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm.

Under the skin, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  1. Getting back heated seats in CT4 to warm up keisters is nice. But when customers get back Super Cruise? Do we have to wait until 2023, or 2024 model year?
