2022 Buick Envision Rated Best Luxury Compact SUV By Consumer Reports

The 2022 Buick Envision is offered as the second model year for the second-generation midsize crossover nameplate, debuting just a few small changes and updates over the all-new 2021 model year. Now, Consumer Reports has recognized the 2022 Buick Envision as a top-rated luxury vehicle.
Consumer Reports designates which vehicles are considered “top-rated” with the CR Overall Score, which is determined by a number of different factors. These include Consumer Reports road-test performance, which takes place at the organization’s 327-acre test facility and incorporates more than 50 individual evaluations, as well as reliability survey results from Consumer Reports members, owner satisfaction survey results based on the percentage of owners that say they would definitely buy the same car again, and safety tests and equipment, which are determined by the equipped safety features, as well as government and insurance industry testing.
From this combination of results, Consumer Reports builds a final CR Overall Score. The maximum overall score value can range as high as 100 points, with the point differential between the top-rated vehicles and bottom-rated vehicles in the same category reaching as high as 40 points.
The CR Overall Score for the 2022 Buick Envision is 84 points, landing it in first place in the Consumer Report “Luxury Compact SUV” category. The organization outlined a number of characteristics among the vehicle’s highs, including the ride quality, the quiet cabin, the solid braking performance, and the infotainment system as well.
As for the lows, Consumer Reports levied criticism at the gear selector, the low dash vents, and the crossover’s tendency to spin the front wheels on aggressive take-offs, even when the all-wheel drive system activated.
In road test evaluations, Consumer Reports gave the 2022 Buick Envision a score of 79 out of 100, while predicted reliability was five out of five and predicted owner satisfaction was three out of five.
As for the greasy bits, the 2022 Buick Envision features the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while under the skin is the GM E2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Jinqiao plant in China.

I purchased a 2021 Buick Envision Avenir in March of last year and I really love this vehicle. It is very quiet and comfortable. It provides a smooth ride whether tooling around town or on the highway. I think Buick did a nice job on the exterior and the interior.
