First breaking cover late last year, the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 introduces a raft of updates and changes, not the least of which is the debut of the all-new 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. As the name suggests, the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is the new range-topper of the Sierra 1500 lineup, packing oodles of luxury and features. Having taken an up-close-and-personal look at the exterior, we’re now taking a closer look at the interior of the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate with the following exclusive GM Authority video.
Once again coming to us from the 2022 Chicago Auto Show, the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate rocks the fully updated interior design introduced with the 2022 model year refresh. Drivers get to grips with a four-spoke steering wheel with thumb controls mounted in the 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock positions, behind which is the new 12-inch digital driver information center (instrument panel), complemented by the Multicolor 15-inch Diagonal Head-Up Display (RPO code UV6). The Diagonal Head-Up Display is equipped as standard on Denali Ultimate and AT4X trims, and offered as optional on AT4 and Denali.
The 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate also featured a unique interior colorway called Alpine Umber, with very intricate stitching throughout. The brown-black interior color combination is rather tasteful and also includes a unique topographical design of Mt. Denali (and its coordinates) located at various spots within the cabin, including the passenger-side dash and seats (front, rear, and front seatbacks).
Speaking of the seats, the Denali Ultimate is equipped as standard with a 16-way power front driver’s and passenger’s seats, with lumbar and massage. These seats are also included on the AT4X. All other trims get 10-way power seats. Additionally, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500’s front seats include ventilation (RPO code KQV). In back, the rear bench includes heated second row outboard seats (RPO code KA6) as standard.
The infotainment system in the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is also top-notch infotainment system, thanks to the new 13.4-inch center screen, bookeneded by a set of new A/C vents above and HVAC controls plus a row of switchbanks below.
A Bose Premium Series stereo with 12-speaker system, CenterPoint, Richbass woofer, and AudioPilot (RPO code UQS) is driven through a set of very tasteful speaker grilles front and rear. The tech feature list is extensive, with standard Adaptive Cruise Control (RPO code KSG) and the semi-autonomous GM Super Cruise driver assist system (RPO code UKL). GM’s innovative Rear Camera Mirror with inside rearview auto-dimming and full camera display (RPO code DRZ), and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (RPO code UGN) are also equipped as standard.
Finishing it off are Premium front floor mats with a corner applique, plus premium rear floor mats, both of which are exclusive to the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. Up top is a standard (single-pane) power sunroof (RPO code CF5).

Do I buy this Truck or a House 🏡?.. that is my Choice as of today.. it’s a toss up.. money is tight!!.. you work hard for the best Quality of Life.. with your Family.. and Money 💰 is your Buffalo Chip😛.. !.. a house is your home.. a Truck is your Business.. a winning lottery ticket is your way out 👍🇺🇸.
The American dream, or something like that.
The NAV screen is to low on the dash , its an inch lower than the gauge cluster. they keep saying its a 13.1 inch screen , but its only 5.5 inchs tall. the dash belongs in a car. the seats are still the same thin seats thats been around for years, and look at the mirrors on the doors, they are mounted very low like a car. its a mess. there refresh has some new trim pieces. you all wonder why FORD and Ram have NAV screens that every one is talking about, its because they are big and mounted high.
You want it lower, when it’d high in the field of vision it’s annoying to always have that in your peripheral. The size is simple math and much better oriented that way than vertical like the others. They aren’t talking about the screens because of where they are mounted its because they were large. The Dodge has their mounted lower too, so your complaint is invalid. You have no idea about the seats. The lower mounted mirrors improved visibility. Please just stop talking…
this is america , I can talk about what ever I want ,you woke loving democrat. Your full of it too, Ram has a real 12″ screen currently , and is going to 15″. Ford has a 12.5 inch wide, and 8″ tall, Teslas are even bigger, so your wrong on size. talk about mirrors , the truck has a little girl sissy mirror and there new HD mounted door mirrors look about as stupid as it gets. .You and I both know GM has been trying to play catch up for 4 years,
and everyone has the same complaints over there at the GM bean counting company. the seats are garbage and there thin, I own a 2019 denali HD they suck, including all there crap unfinished plastics on the exterior, little tiny dash knobs , there new fake branded allison transmission , by the way Toyota out sold GM in the first qtr.
Who cares. Sell your Denali, buy a Dodge and leave those who enjoy GMs alone. Go and snivel with the other boys in the sand box. By the way, There, they’re and their all have different meanings. You are using them incorrectly
Your video of the interior shows you have a hard on for the Denali topographical inscription. But WHY didn’t you show the details of the DIC and the center stack??? 🤔 Not a very interesting video.
He explained it in the video, the systems were locked.
The typographical stuff is a cool bonus but it’s the quality of materials and stitching that Alex seems to like. Did we watch the same video?
I like my ‘19 Denali. But that ‘22! I dig that high tech stuff. Nowadays trucks definitely aren’t just made for working/hauling anymore. Heck you can even roll one to a black tie affair. As someone once told me: There comes a time in life where you should get what you want. Not just what you need. Btw: If there wasn’t a market (and stiff competition among brands) for ‘em, they wouldn’t build ‘em.
For long distance driving, I think the massage seats would be great. However I heard they may not introduce them in the 2023 HD versions :(. Seems strange that only Ford offers these in HD trucks. A truck that you pull a camper hundreds of miles. Most people have HD for large 5th wheelers and towing. Disappointed GM may not add. I dont want to wait until 2024 for this feature.
Just pulled a 21 foot bass boat 5000 miles and my 2022 GMC Denali was fabulous. 12 hour days driving this was easy.
Delbert , IT should pull good, its a bass boat , whats it weigh 4000lbs with trailer ?
You negative guys go back down to your mother’s basement and play video games jealous cuz you’ll never be able to afford one working at McDonald’s driving a 90’s Honda Civic.
The interior looks like a damn car not a truck! If I wanted a car interior I would have bought car. People buy trucks for a reason. I bought the 2022 limited for this very reason.
Why are you on the GM board then if you have nothing better to do than complain. The world has enough negative stuff going on right now. Go and get yourself a Dodge and quit complaining. Be happy with the other guys and stop complaining all the time. There’s a few people who see the same pattern.
