The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV made its big debut earlier in the year, with GM pulling the sheets at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show. As an all-electric variant of the popular pickup nameplate, the Chevy Silverado EV promises a good deal of innovation, and that’s reflected in the design both inside and out. Now, we’re taking a tour of the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV interior with the following GM Authority exclusive video.
Playing host and narrator in the video is GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft, who got a chance to climb inside the new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV at the recent 2022 New York Auto Show.
Without a doubt, the first thing to grab our eye is the impressive display layout, which stretches across the dash both for the driver and in the center stack to cover infotainment duties. The Chevy Silverado EV’s infotainment system iterates off the system offered by the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500, but takes things to a new level with 11 inches of diagonal space for the driver instrument cluster and 17 inches of diagonal space for the central infotainment screen.
HVAC controls and vents are located below the screen, while the infotainment system volume knob is located in the upper lefthand corner of the central screen.
The steering wheel is also interesting, incorporating a flat-bottom design. This particular example is the Chevy Silverado EV RST trim level, and as such, it has the RST badge located at the bottom of the steering wheel. Up top, we see a black stripe along the upper edge of the wheel, indicating that the pickup is equipped with the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system. Onboard technology also includes a Bose stereo, plus a rear camera mirror.
The seats incorporate a two-tone upholstery with red and blue accent stitching, while up top, there’s a fixed glass roof.
Moving into the rear of the cabin, we see the midgate feature is folded down, with the rear seat folding flat to accommodate longer items in the bed. The door panels continue the two-tone upholstery colorway.
If you’re eager to learn more about the new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, then this video is a must-watch:
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is offered with a dual-motor e4WD powertrain, with RST trim levels rated at 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. Range-per-charge is around 400 miles. Under the skin, the Silverado EV rides on the on the GM BT1 platform, with the GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technology providing the motivation. Production is set to kick off early next year at the GM Factory Zero plant.

This truck is growing on me. Can’t wait to see the Sierra.
It has some features of the Avalanche with the mid gate.
Is there a 2-door sport version?
look at that, GM put the Nav screen up high on that dash were it belongs in a truck, unlike the new RE-hashed car like dash they put in the silverado and Sierra and did there 5″ tall nav under the ac vents and its 13″ wide. O but lets be excited that GM dangled that re-hashed dash to the GM loyalist to make them think there getting something all new, when they actually got there wifes SUV dash because Mary Barryass wants every part the same on every vehicle they build.
Research can be your friend my pal. Only the AT4 and Denali lines have the vents over the top of the screen. All other Silverado and Sierra models do not. Regardless of vents the screen is still in an easy to view location. Not a single review I have read (people who have actually been inside of these) have complained about the screen location.
Glad to see they are keeping HVAC as buttons. I was in an EQS at the show here and no buttons. Super nice screen, but I’d still like a few buttons. No matter how good the screen is, there is no feel so muscle memory is not going to work. You will have to take your eyes off the road to adjust even things like fan speed.
With self driving capabilities becoming better and more available, taking your eyes off the road to adjust things will be acceptable and will accelerate the path to extinction for buttons. We are living at a time of major changes with our relationship with automobiles and trucks, whether one wants it or not.
Yeah, self drive has come so far a X crashed into a parked jet using the summon feature a few days ago. So a 150K car ruins a 3M jet that is stationary. Me thinks they have a bit to go. I find it hilarious. And thankfully no one was in either. Could have been a major fire.
How much does it cost?
I was in the dealer today and put the 100.00 down for the right to order one when that becomes available. THEN I found out an RST will “unofficially” cost $105k. I can see that for an extended range High Country, not an entry level RST. I will be getting my $ back.
Another vehicle ruined! That looks gross. Won’t be buying.
Those swept C-posts are atrocious. It’s a shame.
Where is the Push Button start on that Rivian wannabe?
Oh yeah it’s a pile of crap it doesn’t come with that
