Florida-based aftermarket company Vossen has shared an image gallery and a video showing a slammed Chevy Silverado kitted out with a set of its HF6-5 alloy wheels.
This K2XX generation, LT trim level Chevy Silverado Crew Cab is unlike any other we’ve seen. While many Chevy Silverado owners want to raise the truck’s suspension, fit it with knobby off-road wheels and tires and make it more capable off-road, this owner has elected to go the opposite route, slamming their pickup on the pavement and installing height-adjustable air suspension. Lowered trucks like this were once quite popular, especially amid the “Mini Truck,” trend in the 1990s and early 2000s, but have since fallen out of favor in place of off-road builds. That said, we’d have no qualms about this style making a comeback of sorts – we think this lowered Silverado looks surprisingly cool.
The Vossen wheels fitted to this truck are from its HF6-5 model line – a multispoke, six-lug wheel design that’s available in a wide variety of finishes including Satin Black, Gloss Black, Tinted Gloss Black, Matte Gunmetal and Silver Polished. These particular wheels are finished in Matte Gunmetal and measure in at 24 inches by 9.5 inches. The Vossen HF6-5 wheel is priced from $650 on the company’s website, but different finishes and sizes will drive up the price, so it’s likely that these wheels cost a bit more than that per unit.
Apart from the wheels and air suspension, this truck appears mostly stock, retaining its OEM bumpers and body panels for a tidy, clean exterior appearance. It also retains its factory Deep Ocean Blue Metallic exterior color, although the owner has made a subtle modification to the Chevy bowtie, repainting it from the stock yellow/gold hue to the same Deep Ocean Blue Metallic color as the body.

Meh
It’s like beer, an acquired taste. It’s a nice change from all the off-road look that never go off-road.
People have been doing this for decades, and you call it a nice change?
Maybe something a NBA or NFL would like, big enough for big bodied guys and if they needed a truck to be used as a truck they have the money to buy an actual tow rig. Its not my style at all but can appreciate all the work that went into the build. I really don’t like mods that take away from functionality whether its lowering or raising them.
This is probably the most respectful comment I’ve seen towards someone who lowered their truck.
I’m just curious on the mpg gain
As someone who’s ordered a ZR2, I would have passed for an SS. Sporty = off-road in todays world. The mid 2000’s were a fun time.
Although I will full pass on the cholorado
