Chevy Camaro Drifts, Collides With Dodge Charger At Mopar Meet: Video

A video of a Chevy Camaro driver losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a Dodge Charger Hellcat is going viral online this week.

The video clip, which seems to have been taken at a recent meetup for owners of modern-day Mopar products like the Dodge Challenger and Charger, shows the driver of a sixth-generation Chevy Camaro doing donuts around a parked Dodge Charger Hellcat, which we assume as a willing participant of this little sideshow. As the Camaro driver continues to circle around the Charger, he eventually loses control of the vehicle and crashes nose-first into the Dodge’s rear passenger-side door, leaving it with a massive dent and a large black scratch for good measure.

The same person who filmed this video uploaded a longer-form version to their YouTube channel, which shows a sheriff’s deputy in attendance at this meet and giving the go-ahead to attendees to perform burnouts and donuts on this plot of pavement. As the officer said in that clip: “You’re here to show off your cars. Why would I be mad about that?”

It’s great to see the organizers for this event going through official channels and not hosting an illegal takeover meet, however it doesn’t seem like such a great idea to have a car parked in the middle for participants to do donuts around. Amateur drivers in powerful cars keen to show off their skills shouldn’t be trusted in this way – especially if they’re behind the wheel of a brand-new Dodge Charger Hellcat. Still, we’ve seen clips of sideshow participants doing donuts around human beings, so it could be worse.

Check out the clip in the Instagram post embedded above.

      1. You’re a literal idiot. I’ve seen all types of people ruining events. Car shows being successful and wreck free aren’t based on race. 😂

  11. I am certainly no pro driver, but as a teen (many years ago) myself and plenty of others would do donuts in parking lots…it is not that difficult to have fun and not hit something…I just don’t get it every time I see one of these videos.
I like the color of that Dodge…that is the extent of anything positive I can say about this video or story.

    1. Donuts are easy if you just crank and mash. This guy was carrying speed and ineffectively drifting.
