The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 introduces a new level of performance for the eighth-generation Chevy Corvette C8, complete with all the trimmings, from the exterior style, the the greasy bits behind the cabin. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2023 Corvette Z06 will also be available with optional Black Exhaust Tips.
At present, details on the new Black Exhaust Tips for the 2023 Corvette Z06 are still forthcoming, though they will be tagged with RPO code NGA. That said, we already know what the tips will look like thanks to the 2023 Corvette Z06 visualizer.
The upgraded tips appear to incorporate a polished black finish, complementing the black diffuser and rear bumper of the new Z06. The tips are once again centrally mounted, rather than mounted outboard, with a quartet of rounded outlets arranged in a single-file line.
Notably, the new 2023 Chevy Corvette Stingray will also offer Black Exhaust Tips, as GM Authority covered previously.
Further customization options are available with the 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition, which marks the Corvette’s 70th birthday with a long list of aesthetic enhancements for the interior and exterior.
The 2023 Corvette Z06 is also available with the Z07 Performance Package, which elevates the sports car with even more go-fast goodness. Highlights of the package include a full carbon fiber aero treatment with a larger front splitter, front-corner dive planes, a huge rear wing, and underbody strakes. The package also adds in unique FE7 suspension with specific Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 calibrations, Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, larger carbon ceramic brakes, and optional carbon fiber wheels.
As a reminder, the 2023 Corvette Z06 is equipped with the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, which doles out 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Redline is set at 8,600 rpm. Under the aggressive widebody treatment is the GM Y2 architecture, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

My Cadillac XTS Platinum Vsport has such cheap aluminum exhaust tips that I’ve given up trying to keep them clean.
So, my black tips have beaten the Stingrays tips to the market place, and I didn’t even have to pay a premium optional price.
You’re right….you paid for them at the “premium” standard equipment price…..lol
No more news about the electrified corvette?
Are they powder coated, painted, plated, or what ?
They are just regular aluminum (or whatever GM passes as chrome these days). Powder coated? Lol,
That would involve them spending a nickel more. The first couple of years I kept trying to shine them with chrome cleaner, to no avail.
All they are now are worn, dirty, ugly tips.
Look what you can order but we won’t give you a price, an order date or a production date. But we’ll keep dangling carrots in front of you as long as we can.
Gotta wonder if the General is regretting putting the C8 exhaust in the “outboard” design. Looking at the configuration of the C8 exhaust you’ll see sharp bends in the piping in a very small area, which restricts airflow. Numerous people have commented that the C8 doesn’t sound as aggressive as the C7. No surprise that they put the exhaust back in the middle of the 2023 Z06, eliminating the above mentioned bends.
It’s all the about the different engines, the C-8 Stingray’s exhaust will remain outboard.
Does anyone know when dealers be able to place orders for the 23 Z06?
The plant is closed so ordering one and receiving one are two different things. Try again in a couple of years.
They can’t even give build dates more than two weeks out! Seems to me some people are not doing their jobs, or GM just don’t care.
I’m fairly sure the black exhaust tips will be much more than the $180 I paid to have a ceramic exhaust coating to mine.
