The 2022 model year introduces a few changes and updates for GMC Sierra HD models and a full model refresh for the light-duty GMC Sierra 1500 pickup. Now, GM Authority has learned that the rear wheelhouse liners previously unavailable for these pickups are once again available to order.
The Rear wheelhouse liners (RPO code B1J) for the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 and 2022 GMC Sierra HD were previously unavailable to order on select configurations of the pickup trucks, with those affected models produced between March 21st and April 7th built without the feature. The constraint was due to a supplier issue. Now, however, the constraint for the Rear wheelhouse liners has been lifted starting with April 8th production.
Customers who purchased a truck affected by this constraint will receive a $140 credit.
With regard to the GMC Sierra 1500, the Rear wheelhouse liners are offered as optional equipment on Pro trim levels, but only for Double Cab 4WD and Crew Cab 4WD models. The feature was not available for Pro Regular Cab models, Pro Double Cab 2WD models, or Pro Crew Cab 2WD models. The Rear wheelhouse liners are also offered as optional for SLE models, included and only available with the optional Protection Package (RPO code PDQ) or the X31 Off-Road Package (RPOC code X31).
Additionally, 2022 GMC Sierra SLT, AT4, AT4X, and Denali trim levels all feature Rear wheelhouse liners as standard, except for AT4 and Denali trims with the CarbonPro Edition package. Finally, the Rear wheelhouse liners are not available for the Denali Ultimate trim level, as it includes the CarbonPro bed as standard.
As for 2022 GMC Sierra HD models, the Rear wheelhouse liners are not offered for Pro trim levels, but are available as optional for SLE trims with the Convenience Package (RPO code PCQ). The Rear wheelhouse liners also included as standard on 2022 GMC Sierra HD SLT, AT4, and Denali trim levels.
As a reminder, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 is available with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, atmospheric 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, atmospheric 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, while under the skin is the GM T1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Silao plant in Mexico and GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana.
As for the 2022 GMC Sierra HD, engine options include the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine and 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax. The HD truck rides on a more capable version of the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

The article says the liners are not included with the carbon pro, but does anybody know if they are compatible? I hate seeing a gap between the bed and frame.
No, the c-pro is “square cut” shaped for the inner wheelwells. Completely different shape and dimensions than the steel beds.
How about optional mirrors in correct position. Charge $25.
I BOUGHT A 2021 Silverado 2500 with no liners in the rear. So it’s not just the 2022s.
Still waiting on my rear wheel house liners. I was told the day I bought it by the sales manager that he just came back from ordering mine and they would be here soon. 6 months later nothing
I have a 2022 GMC 3500HD Pro regular cab long box 4WD. Can someone please explain why the rear wheel liners are only available for SLE HD’s but not for the Pro. Disgruntled customer!
