2022 GMC Sierra AT4 In Dynamic Blue Metallic: Live Photo Gallery

The refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 made its grand entrance last October with a long list of updates and changes for the light-duty pickup nameplate. Now, we’re checking out this 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 seen out on public roads in a stunning shade known as Dynamic Blue Metallic.

For those who may not recall, the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 is the pickup nameplate’s off-ready-ready trim level, slotting in underneath the even-more-capable GMC Sierra AT4X. As stated above, this particular example is covered in Dynamic Blue Metallic paint, an optional extra that costs $495 and looks great alongside the black trim and red detailing of the AT4.

Up front, we see the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4’s dark-finish grille insert and red tow hooks, while the front air dam is removed for this trim level to allow for greater ground clearance. Under the hood of this particular example is the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque, and connecting to the four-wheel drive system through the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.

In the corners, the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 rides on split-spoke 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with Dark Grey accents, which are wrapped in Mud-Terrain Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. Black window surrounds complement the window tint in the rear.

In back, we spot dual exhaust tips with polished finishers. This 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 is also equipped with the AT4 CarbonPro Edition package (RPO code PCP), which adds the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • CarbonPro fender Hard Badge
  • Carbon Composite Bed (E3Z)
  • MultiPro Audio System by Kicker (PDV)

The AT4 CarbonPro Edition package requires the AT4 Premium Package (RPO code PDG), which bundles:

  • Universal Home Remote (UG1)
  • Rear sliding power window (A48)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG)
  • Rear Cross Traffic Braking (UFB)
  • Rear Pedestrian Alert (UKK)
  • Trailer Camera Provisions (TRG)
  • Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert (UKV)
  • HD Surround Vision (UV2)
  • Front and Rear Park Assist (UD5)
  • AT4 high clearance step (VXW)

In addition to 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 is also available with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and recently uprated to 430 pound-feet of torque, as well as the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Under the body panels, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 rides on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Silao plant in Mexico and GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana.

  3. I’m very, very disappointed with GM, they are rendered only dark colors. This is my third High Country, one blue and the last two cherry red. My saleswoman at Nicol Auto in La Sarre Québec told me that GM no longer made Cherry Gray and Red and also no Micro Ship (puse). So I said NO THANK YOU, I don’t want any other color than Cherry Red and I kept my Sylverado Hihg Country 2018, 6.2 L which I like BUT. Since 2011 I’ve been changing my trucks every three years but this time it’s a BIG NO. I looked at you at Ford and Dodge RAM for my Cherry Red color. To bad so sad GM, you will lose a good customer, very very disappointed with you other GM… You can look in your system and you will see that I am not a liar… I would like to have a followup on my comment and I ask you to answer me ASAP…

Why did GM make you their truck model like the Chevy Nova Montana and Siera truck in Brazil… Is it cheaper to make them in this country’s and once in the USA / Canada you are going to charge us consumers more… And for the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate’s Paldao Wood (wood from a Asia Tree), exterior Trim such as Vader Chrome, 22-inch Whells and GM’s CarbonPro composite Cargo Box, is flown into U.S. from Southeast Asia, pricing starts at $81,790.00 U.S.,. What a bad GM administration… You should give the work to our employers in our two countries USA and Canada, you are not helping our GM economies… You are incompetent…

I am not happy about you GM, you are very bad… 🙁

    1. Kid, stop posting. You have so many lies in this post it isn’t even funny. No one in their right mind will buy a vehicle solely on color. As we have already told you, Mexico is part of the North America, they can produce all they want there. Sounds like you need to take a look in the mirror…

  4. GM all about cheap cheap cheap trucks , high country no longers comes with saddle color interior either, just black, and dark navy blue, then add all the cheap black unfinished plastics on the exterior, cheap blown plastic car like dash , thin seats , stupid mirrors , good for a year tires, tail gate that hit’s hitch receiver , little tiny dash knobs, black wheels , black plastic grills, and to top it all off put a big bad badge that says Z71 or ZR2 on that 4 cylinder 2 litre bad boy, whooooo hhhoooo GM loyalist

    1. You haven’t been in one of these so first off you can’t at all talk about what they are like in person in terms of touch, feel and quality because so far reviews say otherwise. The exterior black plastic is all the rage that all the manufacturers are doing, it adds ruggedness looks to many people and is more durable than paint in spots. Not sure what the color of the dash has to do with it, on one hand you complain about not having brown then complain about it being brown, so which is it? Mirrors have nothing to do with looks, they are in a more useful spot where they are at as it gives better visibility. Just because you use the truck as an image purchase and think this at all matters doesn’t mean they should sacrifice some added usefulness on a truck which that is its main purpose, to satisfy some suburban poseur. Take out your hitch like you are supposed, problem solved. They don’t need to design around the lazy or stupid people. It isn’t that hard, your hitch should never be down there when you open the tailgate in the first place… Tons of brands use good years, not sure why you call out GM for that? Duratracs are very popular and well reviewed. They had big knobs in the previous dash, but people complained and GM now went to a more car like dash like all the other brands, so this isn’t a GM thing. Suburban dads whine and this is what we get. They are better than the others with more knobs and toggles, so your complaint is invalid. The ZR2 can’t get the turbo 4 which is closer to 3 liters than 2 liters and has been well reviewed and a good engine. Do you have a problem with the Ford 2.7 or is it ok just because it is a 6 cylinder?

You really have no idea what you are talking about do you? Please stop posting, you contribute nothing to this site…

  5. I thought getting the Carbon Pro got you the dark badges. I currently own a 22 limited AT4 with Carbon Pro and my AT4 badges are black and red not chrome and red.

  8. Why does’nt General mototrs offer RedHot or Cardinal Red in the SLT, LTZ, High Country or Denali ? It would Be a deal breaker for me. I may have to try other brands which I’m hesitant to do since I’m partial to GM trucks !

    1. Who buys solely based on color? Why in the world would you go to another brand that doesn’t check all the boxes you want just for a color? That is the most silly thing I have heard. You must be Jean Pierre from above, that is the only other person I have ever seen make a decision solely based on color…
