The Upcoming GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate: The Details

Earlier this month, GM Authority spies caught a 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate prototype undergoing testing, giving us an early sneak peek at the upcoming 2024 model refresh for the GMC Yukon nameplate. However, GM Authority has since learned from sources familiar with the matter the details surrounding the new Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level set to replace the existing Yukon Denali Ultimate package.
The new GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level will be introduced for the 2022i (2022 interim) model year, but may be pushed back to the 2023 model year due to the ongoing shortages and delays currently running rampant in the automotive industry.
For those who may be unaware, the Denali Ultimate trim level was first introduced with the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Similar to the pickup model, the GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate will replace the chrome exterior elements with a new dark gray color known as Vader Chrome.
The components set to receive the new, darker treatment include the front grille and front logo, as well as the foglight surround trim. The treatment will also be applied to the front fender badging with the Mt. Denali topography graphic, lower door trim, and in the rear, the lift gate applique and lower bumper trim as well.
Finally, the rear logo will also sport the sleek new color treatment. In the corners, the new GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level will ride on unique wheels. Notably, the window surrounds, also known as daylight openings, or DLOs, will stay chrome.
Furthermore, the upcoming GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level will upgrade the interior spec with top-shelf features like full-grain leather upholstery and authentic open-pore wood trim, as well as complementary topographical map patterns of Mt. Denali throughout.
Further content for the trim will include high-tech features like power-retractable assist steps with perimeter lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and several packages typically available as optional upgrades for the “standard” Denali.
At present, GMC offers the Denali Ultimate Package as an optional extra for the Yukon Denali trim level. The current Denali Ultimate Package is tagged with RPO Code PEC, and is priced at $9,380. The Package includes the content of the Advanced Technology Package, the Rear Seat Media System, plus a panoramic power sunroof up top and power-retractable assist steps with perimeter lighting in the sides. The package also adds on 22-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint, wheel locks, and the Max Trailering Package to boot.
Critically, however, the current GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate package does not offer any of the Vader Chrome elements of the upcoming GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level, nor does the package include the additional interior features outlined above. Incidentally, the Denali Ultimate Package is no longer available to order for the 2022 model year. Enter the new Denali Ultimate trim level.
We’ll stay on top of all the latest regarding the upcoming GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate trim level, so make sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more GMC Yukon news, GMC news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

Open pore wood.
Makes more sense to introduced the Ultimate model for 2023 instead of 2022i. 2023 will be here before anyone knows it.
Give it the 6.8 duramax and a light 3/4 ton rating and it will sell like hot cakes . It would have no competition. There’s nothing else on the market for it to compete with. I would order one right now.
6.8L Duramax?
Hmmm…. I love the front end on that 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate so much I might have to trade or sell my trusty 2010 Sierra Denali 6.2 with only 83K on it to try and order one. Best looking front-end I’ve seen in a long, long time.
As they mentioned in the article, Denali Ultimate is no longer available, but they replaced it with Denali Reserve which is the exact same package minus rear seat entertainment (which by coincidence is exactly what I wanted) so I have it on order. One of the few times a package came out perfectly for me.
I wonder if I could mortgage the payments over 15 years. I’m betting it’ll encroach the $100k price range.
Mine wasn’t too bad. Not quite fully loaded and the price was under 70k.
It’s really too bad that you can’t just buy a Truck OR an SUV with a Big Motor in with the Basic Package and not be forced to by all of the “Frilly Crap” with it! I don’t need or want TV Screens to distract me as well as warning lights and buzzers to warn me every time I blink. It’s not my Family Room, it’s a Truck/SUV. I know WHY.
I love my 2021 Denali with all its options. Great truck.
We can’t get vehicles as it is and GMC wants to muddy up the waters with another trim level…. GM, it’s no surprise you went bankrupt in 2008….
Great vehicles, but then I test drove a Grand Wagoneer, Wagoneer and a Navigator. All three had hands down better tech and sound. Navigator beat the interior, Wagoneer beat engine (wow) AND interior…. Grand Wagoneer was just hands down awesome, but I havent driven a comprable Escalade yet (did demo the AKG system…is good) at least they finally wised up and dropped bose. This trim is squarely aimed at ppl who love the Denali name too much to try anything else…we have an an Acadia Denali and love it…I want to love the Yukon, but it got passed over. Throw a slightly lower tier than Caddilac AKG system in the Yukon Denali and the competition will be tight
Ha 2022i ? I ordered the 2022 with the premium package in October. As of today, GM has yet to accept the order from my dealer. They seem to have trouble producing what they sold last year, but are already talking about 2023 & 2024.
To be clear, they are not talking about 2023 or 2024. This is a report about a future product that GM Authority learned about and the information is not official (not from GM).
