The 2022 Cadillac CT5 is the third model year for the sedan nameplate, offering luxury and style wrapped in a sumptuous four-door package. Critically, the CT5 was one of a select number of vehicles offering the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system, but now, GM Authority has learned that Super Cruise won’t be available for the remainder of the 2022 Cadillac CT5 model year.
Previously, GM Super Cruise was available in conjunction with 2022 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury, Sport, and CT5-V trim levels, but was not offered on Luxury or the CT5-V Blackwing.
For those trim levels that did offer it, the system was part of the Super Cruise 1 Package, which included the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Super Cruise (UKL)
- 12-inch diagonal HD color reconfigurable driver cluster (UDV)
- Leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel (N30)
- HD Surround Vision (UV2)
- Steering wheel mounted Alloy paddle shift controls (Premium Luxury only) (KB7)
Pricing for the Super Cruise 1 Package was set at $3,600, and required the Climate Package (Y6F), the latter of which is priced at $1,090.
The 2022 Cadillac CT5 also offered GM Super Cruise as part of the Super Cruise 2 Package, which included:
- Leather-wrapped horn pad (Premium Luxury and Sport, not CT5-V)
- Super Cruise (UKL)
- Technology Package (CWM)
- Lighting Package (HME)
- Navigation and Bose Premium Audio Package (Y26)
- Climate Package (Y6F)
- Leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel (N30)
- HD Surround Vision (UV2)
The Super Cruise Package 2 cost $6,940 on Premium Luxury trims and $7,040 on Sport trims, and required the Parking Package (Y6L), priced at $1,790. Cadillac CT5-V models also required the Premium Package (PCK), which costs $3,920. Additionally, if the package was ordered on 2022 Cadillac CT5 models equipped with the turbocharged 3.6L V6 LGY gasoline engine, all-wheel drive (F46) was also required.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac CT5 is offered with three engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and turbocharged 3.6L V6 LGY gasoline engine, and, for the high-performance Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine as well. Under the skin is the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan.

We tried ordering a ’21 CT5-V with supercruise back in January ’21 and after 3 months of “on hold” we canceled it. Legitimate question: have they delivered non press car CT5’s with supercruise to customers? The tech is great, but it seems if they can’t make it at scale it’s irrelevant if it’s better than tesla or ford’s highway systems.
I was in the same boat- now i’m just going to buy my CT6 with Supercruise and see what 2023 brings. The chip situation is all but killing everything except Corvette, Pickups and large SUV’s at GM-
not a bad idea to still get a car with supercruise. they are 100% sending all their chips to the pickups and SUVs, at the expense of losing customers of their sedans. Given the fat margins, from a business perspective makes sense. Still frustrating
Christian:
The last CT6 was built over 2 years ago, so you’ll have to find a pre-owned one with Super Cruise.
You’ll be much happier keeping your CT6. We turned in our 2017 CT6 lease and leased a 2021 CT5 (no Super Cruise) for about 10 months. Wound up selling it back to the dealer and buying a used 2019 CT6. The CT5 just doesn’t compare to the CT6.
Thanks Mark- that’s kind of where I”m at- my 2019 CT6 3.0TT Sport w/SuperCruise seems to be not only better all around, but the trunk is huge (i have a 6 year old and usually have it filled with Golf Clubs, sleds, snow shoes, etc etc all the time) and so useful. Not to mention cool features like night vision that come in very handy.
That’s crazy you would think with their range topping sedan they would make sure it’s available. I’ve seen several people on here who were going to buy a Cadillac and decided not to because super cruise was not available. That sucks for all the people who wanted it.
Did they tell you guys why it’s not available for the remainder of the year?
No chips- took it off the order sheet altogether. My dealer is as frustrated as us customers are. Tough situation all around
The blows. Well unfortunately for them I think a lot of people will walk over this. Are you going to wait until it’s available or get something else?
Who knows- I guess see what’s available in a year or so. Maybe go electric if range can get over 400 miles (I live in Northern Michigan so always need range to get anywhere – especially in cold weather). This is my 4th Cadillac 2 ELR’s, the CT6 and a CTS-V Wagon (manual of course) so was hoping to stay in the family if possible.
Well I hope whatever your wanting you are able to get it and get it for a good price.

The only other make, luxury or not, that offers anything even remotely like Super Cruise is Tesla. So they’ll have to visit another brands showroom for another reason.
Super Cruise should be FREE on at least ALL Cadillac Models like Tesla with their Autopilot.
Ultra Cruise should be like Tesla FSD. When will GM figure out that the Auto Industry is changing and Data is King now!!!
I was hoping I can still buy Super Cruise for my Bolt EUV order, but now I’m not optimistic…
Another problem is the CT5 is an excellent Buick but not so much a Cadillac as it is. IMO the current Regal/liftback needs to be the next Malibu, have a CT5 based “SS” as a Chevy sport sedan/police car.
A CT5 based Buick can be the Lacrosse or another undamaged Buick name as a sole sedan for America with a Grand National variant and finally a real luxurious CT5 (wood/leather) with 2.7 power standard also CT6 returning as the ICE flagship with LT1 power. All can be built in America/Mex/Can on current assembly lines, enough with my rant….
Good one Guestt. You got me rolling over here.
Hey Guys. I am the one you hate for grabbing all the chips. About to Order Escalade Luxury Platinum Premium which is top of the line Escalade.
So I am putting money in it. But guess what? Now even Escalade is being build without Super Cruise.
So not only sedan orders will be cancelled, I will be not taking delivery. It’s 140K Canadian after taxes. I think i can be a little picky, don’t you?
