Super Cruise Unavailable For 2022 Cadillac CT4

First offered for the 2020 model year, the Cadillac CT4 combines the traditional Cadillac luxury with a compact four-door body style. Now, however, GM Authority has learned that the 2022 Cadillac CT4 is currently unavailable with the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous drive system.

As it turns out, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 is expected to be unavailable with the GM Super Cruise system for the remainder of the 2022 model year.

For those readers who may be unaware, the GM Super Cruise system provides hands-free driving assistance on 200,000 miles of North American roads, taking control of the vehicle during extended highway driving.

Previously, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 offered the GM Super Cruise system for Premium Luxury, Sport, and CT4-V trim levels. The feature was not offered on Luxury or CT4-V Blackwing trims. The feature was part of the Super Cruise 1 Package, which included the following content (relevant RPO code included in parentheses):

  • Super Cruise (UKL)
  • 12-inch diagonal HD color reconfigurable driver cluster (UDV)
  • Leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel (N30)
  • HD Surround Vision (UV2)
  • Steering wheel mounted Alloy paddle shift controls (Premium Luxury only) (KB7)

The Super Cruise 1 Package cost $3,600, and required the Climate Package (RPO code Y6F), priced at $1,200.

Super Cruise was also offered for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 as part of the Super Cruise 2 Package, which included the following:

  • Leather-wrapped horn pad (included for Premium Luxury and Sport, but not CT4-V)
  • Super Cruise (UKL)
  • Technology Package (CWM)
  • Lighting Package (HME)
  • Navigation and Bose Premium Audio Package (Y26)
  • Climate Package (Y6F)
  • Leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel (N30)
  • HD Surround Vision (UV2)

The Super Cruise Package 2 cost $7,600 for 2022 Cadillac CT4 Premium Luxury trims, $7,500 for Sport trims, and $8,000 for CT4-V. Additionally, if the package was ordered for the Premium Luxury trim level in conjunction with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, all-wheel drive (RPO code F46) was also required.

To note, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 is available with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine. The high-performance 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with the twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine. Under the skin is the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River Plant in Michigan.

          1. He is not my friend. I could not tell him from a hole in the ground. But you are still the dimmest bulb of the Cadillac Society (39 microwatts) and that is no exaggeration.

              1. You are lying again. There is nothing you have to do in your life, with the exception of regular visits to your headshrinker and to your probation officer. Unlike you, I do not have to wish you a “bad day” because you already have a really bad life, permanently. Just like your mother and father had. Now get your drug fix and calm down, junkie.

  3. WHY ???? The article did not say. I can assume why but I want facts please.

    Reply
    1. Why? Apparently because Cadillac (and GM) management seriously underestimated their microchip needs and using the “just-in-time” ordering system they did not order in timely fashion what they needed. Then they had to micro-manage and every few months issued changed outlook and unavailability for various options, such as Super Cruise, heated driving wheel, heated seats, back camera, several colors, etc. They should realize that by doing so, they may be losing credibility with their customers.
