Atlanta-based automotive lighting company Morimoto Lighting has released a video showing off its new 4Banger LED fog light kit for the third-generation, GMT920-based Chevy Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs.
This product is intended to serve as an upgrade set of LED fog lamps that fit into the cutouts for the factory halogen fog lamps that come on the 2007 to 2014 model-year Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. While the lights fit into the OEM housings, they require a different Morimoto bracket, which is included in the box with the lights themselves. They also utilize the same factory wiring connections as the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban.
These aftermarket fog lamps are also offered in a variety of light intensity ratings. The tamest available light is the ‘NCS Wide Yellow’ light at 8,680 Cd, while the most luminous is the ‘HXB Spot White’ at 170,000 Cd. These brighter lights are perfect for off-roaders that may often find themselves driving in dark, remote areas with minimal or no lighting. The standard NCS lights are priced from $400 a set, while the more intense HXB lights are a $200 premium at $600 a set. Morimoto says both the NCS and HXB models have been verified as compliant with the latest SAE F regulations for use as a street-legal fog light.
The video embedded below explains a bit more about these new off-road-oriented aftermarket fog lamps for the 2007-2014 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban and also shows how to install them, so be sure to check it out. The lights, which are available to order now via the company’s webshop, are also sold with mounting brackets for other GM vehicles like the Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL.

And illegal blinding LED’s in reflector housings. On coming traffic must love them. Seriously people, stop putting LED’s and HID’s in reflector housings, they’re illegal, usually don’t improve output and no matter what they say they blind others as they can’t emulate a halogen bulb and it shows…
I have been loving my Chevrolet equinox since I found my first ten Years ago. I have purchased new one every other year. Number 6 was ordered in Feb with projected production week of 2/28. How long should I expect to wait for delivery? New car will have irredescent pearl paint. I have seen it priced as $650 and also $995 on this site. Why the price variable? I like to use self applied ceramic. How long need I to wait before starting ceramic treatment? I have noticed different rebates each month. Do I qualify for rebates as of order date or only those in effect at delivery date? See some rebates expire 4/4. Now you would not hold my car till 4/5 just to make me lose rebate would you?
