A few weeks back, GM Authority brought you new spy photos of the upcoming Cadillac XT3, showing off a fresh crossover model testing in prototype form. Now, we have additional images of the Cadillac XT3 roaming public streets to whet your whistle.
As before, these new images show the Cadillac XT3 draped in heavy camouflage that obscures the design underneath. Nevertheless, there’s plenty we can pick out with this prototype model.
To start, we spot hints of the latest Cadillac design language, including vertical lighting in front and checkmark-style taillights in the rear. In the corners, this Cadillac XT3 prototype rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels with a large diameter, thin spokes, silver finish, and black detailing, while up front, we see a small cutout in the black camo that is likely in place to provide a view for a front-facing camera.
The design of the Cadillac XT3 prototype also incorporates a low-slung roof and short rear overhang, which is similar to the mystery Chevy crossover that GM Authority covered previously. As such, it’s possible the upcoming Caddy may serve as a platform mate for the Chevy crossover that we covered earlier in the month.
For those who may have missed it, the mystery Chevy crossover will slot in between the Chevy Trailblazer and Chevy Equinox, using the same design language established with the new Chevy Blazer crossover. It’s also possible the mystery Chevy crossover will be aimed at the Chinese market, or some other global market.
Back to the Cadillac XT3. It’s worth noting that this prototype is internal-combustion based, rather than an EV, as indicated by the large air intake in front and exhaust outlets in back. What’s more, this prototype is not the Cadillac XT4 refresh, nor is it the new overhaul for the Cadillac XT5. Rather, the Cadillac XT3 will slot in below both models in the luxury B-crossover segment, rivaling products like the Lexus UX and Volvo XC40.

seems a BMW
They weren’t, Trump banned him from Maralogo.
Then maybe change your user name moron.
Change your name and we’ll talk.
Ok now tell me please.
The XT3 is not that exciting. Clinton was on Epstein’s plane 27 times, along with other liberals.
Trump was bamboozled in 2020 because they fear him.
Read Year of the Rat by Edward Timperlake-It covers all of Bill’s illegal activities to raise cash for their 2nd campaign. With citations.
Anything apology for a criminal ; traitor ; con man & phoney ‘ billionaire ‘ , and wanna be tyrant , Trump.
” I wish Ghisiline Maxwell well ” .Trump said after her arrest ….This is not the forum for politics but all Trumpers need defiance.
Yeah sure with a sign on like that lmao.
What’s replacing the tracker/encore?
Fwd gm junk vibes…
Where is that one individual that’s going to ask if its electric 😂
Is this electric?
Name checks out!
While the proportions say FWD, I wonder if it will be performance oriented as it sits lower. I bet it would sell well if it had VW GTI-esque ride, handling and 250+ hp.
No to Cadillacs smaller than CT4…..
Guestt: We can’t complain about Cadillac sales if we are going to then limit them to what they should build. So my question is this: Why nothing smaller than the CT4? To be globally competitive and to boost sales in the USA, I feel Cadillac should offer this XT3 along with the rest of the current lineup along with one smaller sedan (below the CT4) and a large flagship well above the CT5.
The sales were actually fine until Covid hit then the chip shortage. Minillacs should be either overseas models, Buicks or both, not this small garbage. The initial reason vehicles had to shrink was mpg, now that’s conquered why put out small mess under a top nameplate?.
Hi Dan, it’s Bill! Yesterday Camaro’s, today Cadillac’s. I didn’t know you were such a storied global economist and a marketing expert, wow. Sorry I couldn’t help myself!
What no comeback today Dan, wow! Check GM’s stock today on the NYSE, I did! We can thank the bean counters, right?
That’s what Buick & Chevrolet are for .
At one time Pontiac & Oldsmobile .
Cadillac was to stay exclusive.
Never economy & never to small .
What they gain at the bottom ( not much) they lose bigger at the top .
It’s the xt5 there is not going to ever be an xt3
Suprised Cadillac would do another new gas CUV?
Leave the politics off of here.
This just looks like a crossover coupe of the XT4.
I agree.
If one looks at the proportions of the driver to the car, they’ll see that it’s either an XT4 or larger. GMA needs to stop calling this an XT3.
I wonder if this will be built in the Changwon, South Korea plant that was just renovated
All I see is potential here.
Is this thing going to be sold here or is it a China only model?
Could this be a Buick?
Buick encore sold really well, not everyone is overweight and hauls a lot of stuff. There is a market for luxury small crossovers imho.
I have several 60s and 70s Caddys. Big gas burning engines but a feel and ride that is from a bygone era. We likely will never see that again. Many people are buying large 4 door pickup trucks that they really don’t need to haul things or to move several people most of the time, in order to get that large vehicle, smooth ride feel. It’s no different than the Caddy’s of yesterday. They burn more fuel than the average ICE vehicle and are just as difficult to park. The large cars of the past were not “necessary” for many people. It was partly a status symbol. U had “made it” if U drove one. That’s now replaced in many cases by a huge fully loaded, very expensive pickup truck that rarely gets dirty.
If this follows the same theme as the other XT models it’s just another participation player with nothing worthy of a Cadillac badge. Good exterior, bland interior with an anemic powertrain to match.
Is Cadillac going down to CT 2 & 1 next ?
They are losing prestige by the second .
Cadillac should NOT go that small ; unless its a sharp sports car .
Small is what Chevy offers in the line ; not Cadillac.
They don’t understand ; never learn .
So this looks to have much more of the unfortunate CT4/CT5 design “language” than the much better Lyriq design. Too bad. But GM wouldn’t know what to do if they weren’t 5 to 8 years behind the competition.
