The 2022 GMC Terrain is the fifth model year of the second-generation nameplate, introducing a model refresh that includes new styling, an updated interior, and several other changes. Now, GM Authority has learned that General Motors has resolved the availability issues for the 2022 GMC Terrain’s heated and ventilated seat features.
Units of the 2022 GMC Terrain produced on or after February 28th will no longer face availability issues for the heated and ventilated seats features. As GM Authority covered previously, the GMC Terrain was one of several GMC vehicles under constraint for those features as of November 15th production.
Now, however, availability has opened back up. As such, Heated front seats (RPO code KA1) are once again included and only available with the Driver Convenience Package (RPO code ZQ2) for SLE trims, and included as standard on SLT, AT4, and Denali trims.
The Heated rear outboard seats (RPO code KA6) are also included and only available with the Comfort Package (RPO code PS1) on Denali, and are not offered 2022 GMC Terrain SLE, SLT, and AT4 trim levels.
The Ventilated driver seat (RPO code KU1) and Ventilated front passenger seat (RPO code KU3) are normally included and only available with the Comfort Package (RPO code PS1) on Denali trims, and are not available on 2022 GMC Terrain SLE, SLT, or AT4.
As a reminder, the GMC Terrain was originally slated to receive a model refresh for the 2021 model year, but due to complications stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, the refresh was instead pushed back to the 2022 model year.
Under the hood, the 2022 GMC Terrain features the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LYX gasoline engine, which is rated at 170 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 203 pound-feet of torque at 2,000 rpm. Under the skin, the Terrain rides on the GM D2 platform. Production takes place at the GM San Luis Potosà factory in Mexico.

Couldn’t find and info on heated and cooling seats for 2022 Terrain. I understand one should wait until 2024 Terrain.
Gary Reid ,I have non working heated seats installed on my new 2022 Terrain SLT ,but dealers still have no chips to install to activate them as per the GM promissory letter I was given from GM saying they will be installed by the dealer FREE when received ,it was built in June 2021 and received in Canada in January 2022 ,and delivered to me ,terrible customer delivery service worsened by Covid ,it is a really great vehicle otherwise and actually nice quality finish actually which was surprising with all the bad mouthing ,getting close to GM Ingersoll Ontario previous quality status in the day actually !!
