The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is the second model year for the latest fifth-generation nameplate, introducing just a few small changes and updates over the initial 2021 model year. Now, however, GM Authority has learned that the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is no longer available to order with the Radiant Package.
According to GM Authority sources, the Radiant Package will be unavailable to order for the Cadillac Escalade for the remainder of 2022 model year production.
The Cadillac Escalade Radiant Package is tagged with RPO code PDV, and was previously offered as an option for Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum trim levels. Pricing for the package was set at $3,910 for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury, and $3,775 for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum.
The package was offered as an LPO-level upgrade, which means it was installed by the dealer, as opposed to at the factory when the vehicle was initially produced. Package content includes a number of aesthetic enhancements for the SUV’s exterior, namely (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- 22-inch 12-Spoke Chrome alloy wheels (SET)
- Bright Sport mesh grille with Galvano surround (SJ9)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)
- Cadillac crest puddle lamps (S3I) (Premium Luxury only)
As a reminder, the latest fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade is available with two powertrain options, including the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, as well as the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Both engine options connect to the GM 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission and a 3.23 final drive ratio.
Under the skin, the fifth-gen Cadillac Escalade rides on the GM T1 platform, and features a new independent rear suspension. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Arlington production facility in Texas.
