gm better put huge discounts to sell as much as they can to those US citizens that don’t care about Chinese atrocities before China attacks Taiwan and the trading is stopped. Oh, I forgot who’s in the WH, it won’t stop… Mary won’t let that happen since she part of this lame administration.
I have the Essence model, was not aware there was an Avenir. Anyway, it’s a nice quiet ride. With the exception of the engine on/off ridiculous feature, which caused an accident, it’s an OK car. If you can get it disconnected in your model, do so before you have a disaster. I was fortunate in that no other car or person was involved, just poles. $13,000 worth of damage anyway and two months in the body shop. During the summer when the AC is going full blast it doesn’t work. When it gets cooler out and the heat comes on, it does work. Of course, by then you are not aware of it. Awful idea, to save a cup of gas.
My wife’s 2019 Envision has an ON/OFF disable button, did they discontinue that?
Anne: this is difficult to understand. You had an accident with Poles that caused a lot of damage but. did not involve another vehicle; all due to the Auto Start/Stop feature. Once engaged, releasing the brake is the action that restarts the vehicle. However, coming to a stop, just modulating the brake pedal will keep this feature from engaging. I have this on my Buick Regal, and in city having this feature doesn’t seem to be a problem. And on occasion, I can lessen the pressure on the brake pedal and have the Auto Stop not engage at all or restart if necessary.
