New C8 Chevy Corvette customers can now place their order for the 2023 Corvette Stingray, with order books open as of today, March 24th, according to GM.
As GM Authority covered yesterday, pricing for the 2023 Corvette Stingray starts at $63,195 for the base-model 1LT trim level, including a $1,295 destination freight charge. That’s an increase of $1,050 over the equivalent 2022 Corvette Stingray, which starts at $62,145, including a $1,295 destination freight charge. Additionally, GM has confirmed pricing for the new 70th Anniversary Edition package offered for the top 3LT trim level and new 2023 Corvette Z06. Pricing for the package is set at $5,995, which does not include the optional body stripes, which are an extra $995. The 70th Anniversary Edition package is tagged with RPO code Y70.
Unfortunately, GM has yet to announce when customers will be able to place an order for the 2023 Corvette Z06, nor has The General announced official pricing information for the new go-faster model.
For buyers north of the border, GM Canada recently released pricing info for Canadian-bound units of the 2023 Corvette Stingray, which starts at C$73,998, including a C$2,000 destination freight charge, a small increase over the C$73,048 price tag for the 2022 Corvette Stingray. Pricing for the 70th Anniversary Edition package (RPO code Y70) is set at C$7,995.
As for the specs, the 2023 Corvette Stingray goes unchanged with regard to the engine and performance. Mounted behind the cabin, we once again find the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Those numbers are bumped up to 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the optional performance exhaust system, while an eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission is onboard to send output to the rear axle.
Production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green assembly facility in Kentucky, although production is offline this week, as GM Authority covered previously.

WHERE CAN I FIND A NEW CORVETTE FOR THAT PRICE OF 64,000 DOLLARS MORE LIKE 93,000 DOLARS
You can order it at any reputable dealer for that price. We have an HTC, but I’ve seen a stock (no options) C8 and it looked great. Get in line and order one.
Does anyone know when the build and price or the visualizer will become live for the 23 stingray?
I wouldn’t expect to see it until late-April or early-May. GM hasn’t loaded the pricing into their ordering system yet…..
Was originally supposed to be the 23rd. Tried yesterday. Wasn’t there. Perhaps I was confused. Maybe yesterday was supposed to only be 2023 pricing.
How can one properly place an order for a stingray without seeing the new options and how they look on the car. Can’t understand why the stingray visualizer is not online when the Z06 visualizer is, very frustrating!
Most dealers around me are a 2 to 4 year wait, too bad they cant add a 3rd shift to the plant.
A third shift would hurt resale value. It’s better for everyone involved to keep volume down and demand up.
I will have one for sale in July
I always assumed when the Corvette was called “America’s sports car” that this nickname was referring to USA, not the Americas as a whole…I guess not because (ignoring mark-ups and availability constraints) it’s cheaper to buy in Canada (based on USD-CD currency conversion, it’s under $59k up there)…
By time you buy it in Canada, then return to the states, plus import duties, and taxes, it is much more expensive then if you bought it in USA
I’m not suggesting that importing one would make any sense…it’s just surprising to me that Canadians can get a Corvette for less than Americans.
LOL nope, all our Canadian dealers are crooks %20 over MSRP if you can get one up here. (unless you know someone then you can get one at MSRP)
Without a doubt GM is going to have to make a decision on overtime or another shift! But I’m sure the down time they have now is used for maintenance! You figure they build 180 on (2) shifts that 900 per week on a good week! Maybe work Saturday and Sunday we all know GM is making a big profit on the Corvette! I think with such demand there going to have to make an adjustment! I ordered my 2022 coupe on March 1, 2021 I am presently at status 3400 according to the Plant. However, the plant is shut down this week do to parts shortages so this will set me back at least another week! My build was scheduled for March 28, so that’s not going happen hopefully my build will be the first week of April! I’ve got my fingers crossed!
I have a customer whose order was also scheduled to be built the week of 3/28. He has been told by the Corvette Concierge that it will be built the week of 4/4….. He’s waited 18 months for his order, so one week delay is nothing….
I don’t see any way to build and price a 2023 yet.
Correct Amundo….The Build & Price site has never been launched at the same time as it is for the dealers. In fact, GM hasn’t inserted pricing on the Dealers Order Module….. They have published a price List.
We have been waiting now for 14 months and still are 9th in line to get the order placed due to reduced allocations. Hopefully only 3-4 months longer…we ordered a 2021 and we will( hopefully) get a 2023…..frustrating.
Don’t feel too frustrated, I’ve been on dealer list since Sept 2020. GM just picked up the order so anticipating a May delivery.
9th in line and expecting a car in 3 to 4 months? I hope they are a super high volume Corvette store. 9th in line at my store, you would be 3 years away from getting a car. Best wishes, I hope it works out for you.
I put my name on a list in Sept 2020 and was number 38 in line, was hoping for a 2022, I am now #3 in line and have been pushed into a 2023. My dealer got 23 allocations for 2021 and only 12 allocations for 2022. I’m crossing my fingers and eyes I’ll be driving mine my this coming July at the latest. Congrats to all on their cars, its been a frustrating journey
When they are sitting on the lot then I’ll pick one out. Till then forget it it. I enjoy my 2019 and the great deal I got.
According to Mary Barra, GM is not going to build anything at pre pandemic levels. Why build in volume and have to use large incentives to move it. The math no longer works for manufacturers. They have seen the light. Plus, the deal you got in 2019 rolled down hill in the resale market. The C8 restored the values of the C7 and every other Corvette. The Corvette market was definitely on the weak side until the C8 came along.
Trump and Epstein. Your handle says much about you. You have an unhealthy obsession. Psychiatric help is available to you and highly recommended. I suspect inferiority complex/ little man syndrome. Good luck with your mental issues.
What do you think about this Stingray though? Personally I think it’s the best the Corvette has maybe ever looked but I get that’s probably just ’cause it’s new.
Wrecked 21 just brought $63000.00 in salvage auction
When will we receive Z06 and Z07 pricing? Should have released it today.
At least you don’t have to worry about an ordered Corvette going up in smoke on a ship crossing the Atlantic.
Thinking about ordering a 2LT Z51 Coupe, but it will be at least next summer, if then before I get it. Looks like a used ZL1 Camaro instead. At least I’ll be able to have some fun this summer.
when Trump heard stories about Epstein he told staff to not allow him in Mar-a-Lago again it was Bill CLINTON that was constantly at Epsteins private island and Bill does look good in the blue dress with red spikes on in the huge photo on Epsteins wall get your facts straight loser
SAME REASON BILL CLINTON WAS A CLOSE FRIEND.
I am a retired (30 yr GM) mechanical engineer with two Corvettes in my past. I have had a C-8 on order in as a 2021 then 2022 and now a 2023 since March 1, 2021. I am getting close to my number for build/purchase from factory-dealer (# 6 ) in line at this point. I hope that the 2023 model infotainment screen is some what turned to allow the passenger to select some items, ( radio station channel, help driver with possible map reading location info, set their temp control, answering phone calls) & etc. It seems as though that would be a little more safe and less distraction to driver when traveling. Just thought I might throw that out for thought. I plan on enjoying my machine when I get it period.
