2023 Buick Enclave To Lose Quicksilver Metallic Paint Color

The upcoming 2023 Buick Enclave will be the sixth model year of the second-generation nameplate, following a model refresh introduced for the 2022 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the Quicksilver Metallic paint option will be dropped from the Enclave lineup with the introduction of the 2023 model year.

Quicksilver Metallic paint is tagged with paint code GAN. With the departure of the Quicksilver Metallic paint option, the 2023 Buick Enclave will introduce Moonstone Gray Metallic paint (paint code GXD) as a replacement.

General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave in June of 2021, pulling the sheets on new exterior styling, new safety tech features, and exclusive equipment for the top Avenir trim level. To note, the Buick Enclave nameplate was originally slated for a refresh with the 2021 model year, but due to delays and complications stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, the refresh was pushed back to the 2022 model year instead.

Updates for the 2022 model year refresh include a new front fascia, which incorporates a larger front grille, thin LED headlights, a revised rear fascia, and new taillights as well. The interior space was also updated for the 2022 model year, with a restyled center console, push-button Electronic Transmission Range Select, and new premium soft touch points as well. Interior features include an available rear camera mirror, available rear pedestrian alert, an available color head-up display, front park assist, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

As for the greasy bits, the 2022 Buick Enclave features the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. The V6 engine connects to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, which feeds the front wheels as standard, or all four wheels as an available option.

Under the skin, the Buick Enclave rides on the GM C1 platform, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township Factory in Michigan.
