2022 Silverado Trail Boss LT: More Real-World Photos

General Motors unveiled the fully refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 last September, unveiling a long list of changes and updates for the pickup. Shortly thereafter, GM Authority was the first to bring you an image of the 2022 Silverado Trail Boss LT, later following-up that image with the first real-world pictures of the model. Now, we’re back to bring you more real-world photos of the Silverado Trail Boss LT.

Notably, these new images give us a much cleaner view of the 2022 Silverado Trail Boss LT, especially when compared to the blurry first image and the unpainted front clip seen in the first real-world photos. This time, we’re getting up close and personal to the pickup in full production guise.

This particular example is covered in Silver Ice Metallic paint (color code GAN), which is offset by black detailing and exterior features, such as the black front fascia treatment that falls in line with the rest of the Silverado Trail Boss models. Also notable is the black Chevy Bow Tie and black hood treatment.

Providing forward illumination are LED reflector headlamps with LED signature Daytime Running Lamps and an Amber tracer animation. Lower in the front fascia, the 2022 Silverado Trail Boss LT is equipped with red tow hooks and LED fog lights.

Moving around to the profile, we see a set of Gloss Black mirror caps, while the door handles have a body-color finish. Customers have two choices when it comes to the 2022 Silverado Trail Boss LT rolling spec, including either standard 18-inch wheels, or optional 20-inch wheels. Both wheels options feature the same overall design. Wrapping the 18’s are LT275/65R18C Mud-Terrain Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac blackwall tires, while a 17-inch 265/70R17SL all-season blackwall spare tire is also included. To note, the optional 20-inch wheels are wrapped in 275/60R20SL all-terrain, blackwall tires, and include a 17-inch 255/80R17SL all-season, blackwall spare tire.

Between the wheels, we spot optional 6-inch black rectangular assist steps (RPO code VT2). Also check the Z71 hard badge on the front fender.

The rear end is equipped with LED tail lights with a lighting signature and animation, as well as incandescent reverse lights. The single exhaust pipe also indicates that this 2022 Silverado Trail Boss LT is equipped with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The engine breathes through a heavy-duty air filter. Optional engines include the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax.

Other key features for the 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss LT include the Special Suspension Package with Z71 Off-Road equipment and a 2-inch lift. Monotube shocks, Hill Descent Control, and skid plates reinforce the model’s off-roading chops.

    1. Looks much better in these pictures than the official ones.
Will withhold judgement until I see a LTZ/High Country in the wild, but I do not like the pics as of yet.
Reminds me of the GMT-900 cateye (2003-2004), in retrospect the 2005-2006 shrunken look aged a lot better although at the time I didn’t like it either.

  5. I saw a video of a regular Trail Boss on Youtube and it looked pretty good. For those that like to personalize their trucks I bet the black framed ZR2 headlights are going to be a popular modification for both this and the RST.
