2022 Cadillac CT5-V Gets New Blaze Orange Metallic Color: First Look

The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V models get two new exterior colors: Electric Blue and Blaze Orange Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Blaze Orange hue.

Assigned RPO code GCF and touch-up paint code WA-626G, Blaze Orange Metallic is one of nine exterior colors available for the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V:

  • Black Raven
  • Infrared Tintcoat
  • Rift Metallic
  • Satin Steel Metallic
  • Shadow Metallic
  • Summit White
  • Wave Metallic
  • Blaze Orange Metallic (new for 2022 model year)
  • Electric Blue (new for 2022 model year)

The Blaze Orange Metallic color is an extra-cost item, adding an additional $625 to the vehicle’s price. It is available on the CT5-V and the CT5-V Blackwing, as seen in real-world photos here. It’s also offered on the CT5 Sport, but unavailable on the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels.

In addition, the color can only be combined with the following interior colorways: Jet Black with Jet Black accents, Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents, and Sangria with Jet Black accents.

For the sake of reference, here are all available 2022 Cadillac CT5 interior colorways:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents
  • Maple Sugar with Jet Black accents
  • Sahara Beige with Jet Black accents
  • Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents
  • Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents

The big news for the 2022 Cadillac CT5 was the addition of the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing ultra-performance model to the lineup. Taking the CT5-V to the next level, the CT5-V Blackwing is powered by GM’s supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine, which produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a standard six-speed manual transmission sourced from Tremec, while a GM 10-speed automatic is available as an option. It also features unique front and rear fascias, upgraded chassis and suspension systems, upgraded performance brakes, and two available carbon fiber aero packages.

Back to the “regular” CT5-V, it packs GM’s twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY powerplant, pumping out a very healthy 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.

The 2022 Cadillac CT5 family is produced at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. The Cadillac CT4 sedan and the Chevy Camaro muscle car are also made at the same facility.

  2. No matter how many colors GM offers or how many engine options, there’s nothing distinctive to complement the style and heritage of the Cadillac brand. IMHO, this division has lost their way.

  3. Some dealers have a post on their web sites saying “last one” meaning that the CT-4 -V-V Blackwing is out of production then I read they are offering a new color. HUH? Anybody have any idea about the production of both Blackwings?
