Whether it’s cruising down the street or hitting the trails in search of that perfect camping spot, this fully customized 1977 GMC Vandura 3500 Pathfinder 4×4 can do it all, and do it with style. Now, this bespoke GMC is up for grabs.
Originally converted by Pathfinder when new, this 1977 GMC Vandura 3500 now combines modern comforts and amenities with old-school cool and rugged off-roading style. Outside, the rough-and-tough machine is slathered in Root Beer Brown Metallic paint, which pairs with a steel front bumper and bull bar. A set of tow hooks, an integrated winch, and full LED lighting (including a set of light bars) add to the off-road worthiness, as does liner paint for the rockers and fenders. In the corners, we spot a set of 17-inch wheels with an eight-lug pattern, while a side ladder provides access to the full roof rack, the latter of which is capable of mounting any number of outdoor toys, including canoes, kayaks, or even a pop-up tent.
Not that you’d necessarily need a tent with this GMC Vandura. Looking over the brand-new interior, the multiple rows of seating can fold flat to provide a queen-sized bed, while multiple screens and a Rockford Fosgate stereo keep passengers entertained. The cabin is awash in tan vinyl complemented by a snake skin pattern upholstery, while a power adjustable driver’s seat, wood-rimmed steering wheel, and Dolphin gauges finish it off.
Providing the motivation in this 1977 GMC Vandura 3500 Pathfinder is a 400 cubic-inch V8 engine that was upgraded with a Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel carburetor, a new intake, and a new dual exhaust system. The V8 connects to a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission feeding a 4×4 system and two-speed transfer case. Notably, the powertrain has covered only 165 miles since it was built. The suspension also throws in ProComp shocks and a ProComp steering stabilizer.
Now, this 1977 GMC Vandura 3500 Pathfinder 4×4 is up for sale through Streetside Classics, and located in the company’s Phoenix showroom. The pricing listed is set at $96,995.

I want that 4+4 GMC van!!
Yes, if GM built 4×4 vans in this body style, with interiors comparable to Silverado/Sierra, it’s what I would buy.
Nice car❤️
Extremely cool. But I don’t think $97k cool. Although, I read earlier this week that an original, 101k mile Excursion 7.3 fetched $67k on BaT. Anything is possible in this logic-free era.
