The range-topping 2022 Silverado High Country offers a long list of advantages and additional features over lesser trim levels, including a unique grille treatment, standard LED lights and an ultra-premium interior with open-pore wood accents. There’s one area where the 2022 Silverado High Country offers a bit less than other trims, however, utilizing a different rear bumper with smaller CornerStep cutouts.
As evidenced by these photos, the 2022 Silverado High Country has smaller openings for its CornerStep rear bumper, which may look odd to onlookers who are used to seeing the larger cutouts. As Silverado Marketing Manager, Mark Sobczynski, explained to GM Authority Executive Editor, Alex Luft, the High Country trim level features smaller CornerStep bumper cutouts due to the presence of sensors for the Super Cruise system within the rear bumper.
Range-topping luxury trucks like the High Country are less likely to be used for utilitarian purposes on a frequent basis, so this is a tradeoff that most owners likely won’t mind – especially as it enables the truck to offer GM’s hands-free Super Cruise system. The 2022 Silverado High Country will also utilize the latest version of Super Cruise with trailering capability, allowing the driver to cruise in hands-free comfort even if they are towing a trailer down the highway.
To be clear, Super Cruise is an option on the Silverado High Country for 2022 and requires the Crew Cab Short Bed configuration, along with the Technology Package (RPO code CWM). Super Cruise is also included as standard in the High Country Premium II Package (RPO code PDT) and can’t be combined with the Max Trailering Package (RPO code NHT) or the Denali’s standard 5.3L V8 L84 engine.
As a reminder, the refreshed 2022 Silverado can be had with one of four engine options, starting with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine (which now produces 23 percent more torque for a maximum of 430 pound-feet), followed by the atmospheric 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the atmospheric 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbo-diesel Duramax.

So, what will be the cost for a fully loaded High Country be. nice truck
Terry-
Probably close to $70,000.00
Close to $70k. I ordered a HC with deluxe package, retractable steps, multiflex tailgate, white diamond and was $67,590. Other options to add would be technology package and super cruise. Each are around $2000 i believe. And I did the 5.3 V8.
I wonder which bumper my 22 High Country refresh that I ordered 12/16 may come with, being super cruise was on full constraint for the 1stQR, so I didn’t order it plus it’s a 3.0 w/max tow pkg 🤔
Get rid of those stupid looking exhaust tips as well.
HDMI 1 and HDMI 2
while useful the bumper cutouts still look awful
Wonder if steps will be easy enough to use if smaller? If the bed was lower like they used to be, wouldn’t need steps.
Also worth noting that they now offer the Flex tailgate and I believe the High Country comes standard with it and that features a step position, while I personally would rather use the Flew as a cutout to reach farther in or a load stop and use the corner steps to actually get into the bed, it isn’t as big a deal as people might think and at least they are still there. I’m also not the target audience as if I was ordering a new Silverado, I would get an LT,maybe LTZ diesel with max tow, not the High Country and while Super Cruise is probably the best in the business, I don’t think those systems are worth the money, especially with only a 3 year subscription included, then you have to pay to keep the highway network mapping/internet connectivity needed.
Multi-flex tailgate is not standard on HC.
This high country is nice but the new Toyota Tundra Capstone is better
