The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will continue to offer the Realtree Special Edition package (RPO G0S) that was previously offered on the 2021 model-year full-size pickup, as well as the 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited.
The Realtree Special Edition is a hunting-inspired cosmetic package for the Chevy Silverado 1500. For the 2022 model year, this special-edition package will be available to order on the Silverado Custom Trail Boss trim level with the Crew Cab, Short Bed body style. The Realtree Special Edition package includes the following equipment:
- Realtree graphics on hood, bedside and tailgate
- Realtree trim accents on interior door panels
- Chevytec spray-on bedliner with Realtree logo (CGN)
- Black Z71 fender and grille badges
- Black Silverado and Custom badging
- Black hood badging
- Black rectangular dual exhaust tips
- Black recovery hooks (V76)
- Black assist steps (LPO, RPO code RVS)
- All-weather Z71 floor liners (LPO, RPO code AAK)
This package also requires the customer to select one of the following exterior colors in order to equip:
- Summit White (paint code GAZ)
- Black (paint code GBA)
- Sand Dune Metallic (paint code GTL)
Finally, the Realtree Special Editon is only available in conjunction with the 5.3L L84 gasoline V8 and Duramax turbo-diesel 3.0L I-6 LM2 engines, and is there not offered with the base turbocharged 2.7L I-4 L3B gasoline engine. On trucks equipped with the available Multi-Flex tailgate feature, the tailgate graphics mentioned above will be replaced with a Black Chevy Bow Tie emblem. Pricing for the 2022 Silverado 1500 Realtree Edition package has not yet been announced, but Chevy charged $2,520 to apply the pack to the 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited.
As GM Authority reported previously, production of the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will begin at the GM Silao Assembly facility in Mexico on February 21st, while the GM Fort Wayne Assembly facility in Indiana will begin building the refreshed truck on March 14th. The 2022 Silverado 1500 will also be built at the GM Oshawa Assembly plant in Ontario starting this spring. Prices for the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will start at $33,195 including destination and freight charges for the entry-level Work Truck trim level.
