Lingenfelter Introduces C8 Corvette Corsa Xtreme-S Four Valve Exhaust: Video

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has partnered with Corsa Performance to introduce an exclusive new Xtreme-S four-valve exhaust system for the C8 Corvette Stingray.

This exhaust kit was jointly designed and engineered by Lingenfelter and Corsa Performance and will be available exclusively through Lingenfelter’s shop locations and webshop. This exhaust system is designed to give the C8 Corvette Stingray a much more aggressive exhaust note whilst also retaining the OEM four-valve design, allowing for the exhaust sound level to be changed on the fly and eliminating drone noise on the highway.

The Xtreme-S kit will come with a full cat-back stainless steel exhaust system with fully integrated valves and 4.5-inch black chrome exhaust tips. The lightweight stainless steel construction is 13 lbs lighter than the OEM system and promises to boost the output of the 6.2L LT2 V8 by 19 horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Those figures account for the additional 5 horsepower and 5 pound-feet of torque on offer from the optional factory Performance Exhaust, too.

Another positive aspect about this exhaust is that it “correctly Integrates,” into the factory engine control module and will produce no engine codes or warning lights following a valve relearn sequence. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty and is streel legal in all 50 U.S. states.

The video embedded below provides a bit more information on the Corsa Xtreme-S exhaust kit for the C8 Corvette Stingray and also includes a few short clips of it in action with the engine idling, revving and under throttle. Be sure to check it out to hear this new cat-back kit in action.

  1. This product modifies the car to be louder than it came from the factory & probably would be illegal in my state of California.

  6. I like the sound of my Z51 equipped C8. I am not a fan of the Mustangs and Dodge cars that rattle my car from across the street . If it is louder – is it really faster ?

  7. A guy showed me his custom exhaust. He took a stock C8 system , cut it open, “removed some material”.
Welded on some round tips. It sounded good, but let me ask you, if your car is almost 500hp, can you tell
if it goes up to 520hp from the feel at your foot ? I am not sure.

  8. I am hoping for Magnuson or Edelbrock to provide a bolt-on blower. That I will pay for.

  9. Hmmmm …. it doesn’t look like any heat shielding was integrated into the system.

  10. Let’s face it every year at Carlisle, Corsa, Borla, Kooks and Flowmaster will have big tents with lifts. They will all bring a truck load of exhaust systems with them. There will be a line with every appointment booked. You see all the customers waiting anticipation to start their Vette and pull it off the lift then rev the motor and smiling as they drive back to their spot. The Vender’s then pack the trucks with a load of money and stock exhaust and go home. America is beautiful!!
