The 2022 Chevy Silverado HD is third model year of the latest fourth-generation heavy-duty nameplate, introducing just a few small changes as compared to the preceding 2021 model year. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2022 Chevy Silverado HD’s towing capacities.
The 2022 Chevy Silverado HD towing capacities differ based on a number of different factors, including the drivetrain configuration, engine, and model (2500HD or 3500HD). The towing method also makes a big difference, with a fifth-wheel (or gooseneck) hitch offering a higher towing capacity than a standard ball hitch.

Yeah great if I can get one. I ordered one in August I’m still driving my 13.
I feel the frustration as well. Mine was built and sitting in Canada since November 2021.
No one can tell me when it will be shipped. Dealer cant get information either. Gm should be more transparent with the delivery process.
I ordered mine 12-4-21 and it is also sitting in Canada UGH….. Same thing. Dealer has little information. GM is not being very transparent or honest the customers / dealers. Imagine how much money they are loosing with all that inventory just sitting there… LOL
No Max Payload listed? That’s the biggest “gotcha” while towing a trailer
