As GM Authority covered previously, GM is changing the way in which dealers order the Chevy Trailblazer, switching from the traditional “consensus” model to a new “port consensus” model, the latter of which involves General Motors building the vehicles it thinks are needed before shipping to port, at which time dealers pick and choose from what’s available.

The Chevy Trailblazer is available with two engine options, including the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque, and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 174 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Under the skin, the Chevy Trailblazer rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set.

  1. If all 6000 make their way to North America that’s less than two per dealer.

  3. I struggle with the 3 cylinder engines, Actually like the car when I have seen them in the dealership, wish I could have the 1.5T with the 6 speed transmission as an option. I will need a lot of convincing of the long term reliability of a 3 cylinder, Higher RPM and temperatures required for a 3 cylinder usually means more wear, lower long term reliability. I also want something that I can pull a trailer behind but I don’t want a truck.
