A new exhaust can make a world of difference when it comes to driving experience. Now, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra truck owners with the 5.3L V8 engine up front can upgrade their pickup with AWE’s new 0FG exhaust system.
The new AWE 0FG exhaust is designed specifically for fourth-generation Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups, and fits to the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine. The exhaust features three-inch piping and a cat-back design, as well as a throaty new tone that’s sure to get noticed. What’s more, the new exhaust includes AWE’s patented drone-canceling technology for easy cruising.
The 0FG exhaust is made from American-sourced .065-inch thick T304L stainless steel, and bolts right up to the factory components.
A number of exhaust tip options are offered, with both flat bumper and bumper cutout applications accommodated. This includes five-inch, double-walled, straight-cut tips for flat bumper applications, in either a chrome silver or diamond black finish, as well as quad four-inch, double-walled, slash-cut tips for bumpers cutout applications, also available in chrome silver or diamond black.
The quad tip outlets feature ball and socket joints for a clean installation. The exhaust also includes an adapter for 156.95-inch wheelbases, as well as AWE’s Perfect Fitment Guarantee, a “No CEL Guarantee” and a lifetime warranty. Per AWE’s website pricing for the new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 5.3L 0FG exhaust starts at $1,195.
To note, the L84 gasoline engine in the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra is rated from the factory at 355 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 383 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm. Potential horsepower and torque gains were not disclosed.
The new AWE exhaust can be heard in the video below, including startup, revving, and heavy acceleration. The demonstration video also lets us hear the system from inside the cabin when cruising at 60 mph:

second time see a post the AXE about exhaust
second time did not understand really…. A company launching an exhaust system ? why ? is it not supposed to be all electric ? why then an exhaust system for ? keep it of what came from manufacturer, because soon cars are EV, so… why wasting the money now ?
You don’t know how business works, huh?
no, really not, if would know, it would have € 100 000 000 000 in Account, tax free.
It’s like this. Truck makers make gas powered trucks with exhaust systems. Some truck owners like better exhaust systems. Exhaust makers make better exhaust systems to sell to some truck owners who want better systems. Exhaust makers sell systems above cost and make money.
@MK This is an AXE exhaust? Must smell like a man then. Sign me up.
again I think it sounds horrible
again I think it sounds beautiful NOT

Just one question….why? Oh, I know to wake all of the neighbors when you leave for work at 5:30 am every GD morning. Oh, and I forgot, to satisfy your 13 year old brain when you hear the rumble of the engine in your new little toy truckie.
I think that would become really annoying over the long term. I’m sure there would be times when you’d just say__ I wish I could turn ‘that’ off for awhile!!
If you don’t have nothing nice to say anything. Think it sounds good. Factory Duel tailpipes can’t hear it at all. I have a v8 and want to hear I so I put the flomaster outlaw cat back runs way better and hope I wake you up everyday jerk off
You speak like a Hillbilly and you spell like one too. Crawl back under your rock 🪨
I think it sounds damn good and by the way I have muffler delete on my 2020 Silverado lol, so I hope I wake you up at 3:45 am when I go to work
