2023 Corvette Will Offer 14 Paint Color Choices

Since the Chevy Corvette C8 debuted for the 2020 model year, it’s been offered with a selection of 12 different exterior paint options. Now, with the introduction of the 2023 Corvette, that paint options list expands to 14 thanks to the addition of the new 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition.

For those readers who may be unaware, the 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition is a limited-run version of the C8 Corvette that celebrates the nameplate’s 70th anniversary, offered in both a Coupe and a Convertible body style. The Anniversary Edition is also available for both the 2023 Corvette Stingray and 2023 Corvette Z06.

Upgrades over standard versions of the sports car include cosmetic changes like unique badging, painted brake calipers, special seat upholstery, and other bits and pieces. Notably, the 70th Anniversary Edition is also offered in two unique exterior colors, namely White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat, matched with optional Satin Gray stripes, and Carbon Flash Metallic, matched with optional Satin Black stripes.

The two unique exterior colors for the 2023 Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition join 12 other exterior color options for the mid-engine Vette. The other 12 options include (relevant paint code listed in parentheses):

  • Caffeine Metallic (G48)
  • Arctic White (G8G)
  • Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic (G9F)
  • Hypersonic Gray Metallic (GA7)
  • Black (GBA)
  • Amplify Orange Tintcoat (GC5)
  • Accelerate Yellow Metallic (GD0)
  • Torch Red (GKZ)
  • Rapid Blue (GMO)
  • Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat (GPH)
  • Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic (GS7)
  • Silver Flare Metallic (GSJ)

As a reminder, the C8 Corvette rides on top of the Y2 platform, with the C8 Corvette Stingray featuring the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, and the C8 Corvette Z06 featuring the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6, rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

Both engines connect to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that exclusively feeds the rear wheels. Production takes place at the GM Bowling Green facility in Kentucky.

    1. I agree 100%. Had a 2021 C8 HTC, my wife hated the center row. Have 2023 on order, hope to get in 10 months. I also hope they do away or lower center buttons.

    1. Velocity Yellow on the 2015 and prior year cars look the best , that would be my choice .

  4. Personally, I would like it if Corvette also offered special paints on customer request.
My wish would be BMW acid-green, because this is the color of my BMW S1000RR motorcycle, which I have owned since 2010 and rarely ride.
Yes that would be it …

  10. My favorite color was “Fairway Green”
with a saddle top and matching interior.
The problem was is that the color was discontinued the day I took delivery
To this day, I don’t know why and to find one today is almost at 100% impossible.
If you find one or have one today,
    let me know.

  11. I really liked the velocity yellow, but it was changed before I ordered my 2021. Don’t care for the accelerate yellow. My 2nd choice was long beach red, but that was discontinued also. I chose Red Mist Metallic and I Love it. But the C8’s look good in any color. I get so many compliments and thumbs up when driving it.

  14. I’m so disappointed, Now that I have my 2022 C8 with only 300 miles GM decides to add the Pearl White for the 2023. I have waited years for that color and here it is. I wonder what I can sell my 2022 3LT White convertible for?

  15. This is off-topic for this conversation but is anyone out in the 2020 C8 world dealing with extremely loud brake squeal while coming to a stop after about 30-45 minutes of city driving? The sound is like air brakes on a garbage truck when stopping at a red light.

  16. If you paid MSRP for it you should be able to make a nice profit , if you gave over sticker you might have to take a loss after your sales tax is factored in .

  17. I wish there was a green option that’s not highlighter lime.

    1. How about a return of Lime Rock Green from 2014?

  18. Darn, still not a buyer. I want a factory dark green over tan. Hell, call it Bowling Green Metallic if you’d like. Please make it happen for 2024.

  19. I have that issue and was told that the Z51 option has ceramic pads. I do not know about other C8’s brake pads.

  20. Very few bought Shadow Grey like I did, probably because the online imagers were terrible, but I get compliments on the color almost every day.

  25. Every Corvette lover I speak to HATES accelerate yellow. Who comes up with these colors? Corvette racing yellow from 2018 or even Daytona yellow from 1970 is light years better than this eye sore.

    Reply
    1. Scott, I totally agree. Someone’s 5th grader must have mixed up the color for the new yellow for the C8’s. GM, let’s GO BACK to Corvette Racing Yellow. Even your new C8 race cars seem to be using Corvette Racing Yellow.

  28. Z06, ZO6, ZO6, Z06, all I see is Z06! Where’s the build for just regular old 2023 C8? My dealer said that even if I wanted a Z06 I probably wouldn’t get one for over a year, so why push the build? I’m next on the list for 2023 C8 3LT and I can’t even build it online!

  29. I know your situation Dave I ordered my 2021 C8 and I got my 2022 C8 just this past October, a year and a half later. Hope yours is built soo.
