The 2022 GMC Yukon is the second model year of the latest fifth-generation nameplate, arriving with just a few small updates and changes over the initial 2021 model year. Now, the 2022 GMC Yukon is available to order with the new Denali Reserve Package.
The Denali Reserve Package for the 2022 GMC Yukon is tagged with RPO code PCN, and replaces the Denali Ultimate Package (RPO code PEC).
The Denali Reserve Package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG)
- Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (UGN)
- Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)
- Rear Camera Mirror (DRZ)
- Rear Camera Mirror Washer (CWA)
- Advanced Security Package (NWM)
- Panoramic power sunroof (C3U)
- Power-retractable assist steps with perimeter lighting (B3L)
- 22-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint (RPU)
- Wheel locks (SFE)
- Max Trailering Package (NHT)
- Air Ride Adaptive suspension (2WD models only) (F47)
- Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD (4WD model only) (Z6E)
To note, the Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD (RPO code Z6E) bundles together Air Ride Adaptive suspension (RPO code F47) and an electronic limited-slip differential (RPO code G96) with the Active Response 4WD system.
Essentially, the Denali Reserve Package includes the same content as the Denali Reserve Package which it replaces, except the latter also included the Rear Seat Media System (RPO code UW9).
There is currently no pricing information available on the new Denali Reserve Package for the 2022 GMC Yukon, but given the Denali Reserve Package does not include the Rear-Seat Media System, we expect it to be lower than the $11,305 price tag attached to the outgoing Denali Ultimate Package.
As one would expect, the Denali Reserve Package is offered as optional on the 2022 GMC Yukon Denali trim level, and is only available for Yukon and Yukon XL models. The package is not available for SLE, SLT or AT4 trim levels.
It should also be noted that the 22-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint (RPO code RPU) can be substituted with any LPO-level wheel option. Additionally, when the Denali Black Package (RPO code RGF) is also ordered, 22-inch selective machining Carbon Flash wheels (RPO code SIY) replace the 22-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint (RPO code RPU).
As a reminder, the GMC Yukon is offered with three engine options, including the atmospheric 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the atmospheric 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. The Denali trim level is limited to the L87 and LM2. Under the skin the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

I think this is one of the best looking suv on the market from any brand. I definitely like this way more then the Tahoe and suburban.
Next week another press release will say what’s not available in the package due to the chip shortage. But Mary said this too shall change
are you really THAT offend to make outdated 1950s jokes?
I have an Yukon xl Denali on order right now. What are the chances I can change it to the reserve package.
Best thing to do is call the dealer you ordered from and ask him. Second best thing is to start searching dealer inventory online for a dealer that might have what you are looking for. Note the comment that the new package offers the Air suspension on 2 wheel drive models only. Not sure why people buy 2 wheel drive Denali’s but to each his own.
I don’t think that true.
To note, the Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD (RPO code Z6E) bundles together Air Ride Adaptive suspension (RPO code F47) and an electronic limited-slip differential (RPO code G96) with the Active Response 4WD system.
Read point 12 in the description listed in the article. It may be wrong but it says 2WD only.
Yes For the four-wheel-drive you get it by the package with the limited slip differential
Out of everything you could say you would say something like this. POS
Stop lying you got a husband
LOL….GRREAT point. Of course they fail to point out the things you can’t get, like the sliding console or 22 inch chrome wheels or the grill/mirror light package. Soon they will be bragging about how each Yukon will come with a windshield and no less than 4 tires as package dumb101.
With all the hand held media for back seat passengers we will probably see those screens disappear. When we ordered our 2021 Denali we purposely avoided the rear entertainment because the screens are tacked on the back of the front seats right behind the headrest. Most of all, they don’t fold down out of view. This looks very aftermarket and they are vulnerable to getting kicked by little feet in car seats.
yeah it is awful. What they only hold about 2/3rd’s of the market. Failing miserably.
@Mike Rear seat media has been on constraint for a long while on all big suv’s.
Good try J Lo, the comments don’t seem to reflect the article, but it was informative. I would have waited till RPO pricing came out!
So the ultimate package is no more?
I hate these SOBs. I’ve had a loaded AT4 Yukon XL on order since September 9th. There are currently no constraints on my selections and they still haven’t accepted my order. Why? Don’t want to sacrifice the parts they can use on a Denali or Escalade. My crime? I ordered the airbag suspension that makes the AT4 an AT4. This is ludicrous. It’s dishonest to tell the customer you can order something, but ultimately refuse to actually build it.
What are you planning on doing? Are you going to wait some more or switch to something else?
For what ever its worth I went through the same thing in 2020 trying to order a 2021 fully loaded Denali XL. Local dealer put in the order and took a $1,000 deposit. Tracked it for a couple of months and they called back and said we had to order it again but needed to take off the sliding console, active air suspension and the illumination kit. Gave me a new order number and tracked it for a couple of months and it never showed as accepted. Called the dealer and they could not figure it out either and said to wait a little longer. Waited about a month and started searching the internet for a Denali equipped like the one I ordered. Found one in Kansas City with everything except the illumination kit. made a deal on the phone to buy it and had a local dealer put the illumination kit on it. Original Dealer put up a small fight on the 1k deposit but did return it with an apology. GM is a hot mess right now if you want anything other than what a Dealer has to sell or a really basic order. Good luck buddy.
I’m not sure. I may just have to wait out the chip shortage. Reorder it as a 2023. I’m not interested in spending so much money without the features I want.
Does anyone remember when Denali meant something?
It used to mean premium, top-of-the-line. Now it’s just a name plate slapped on the side of a vehicle to inflate the price. And then If you actually want premium, top-of-the-line, you have to pay extra for equipment packages, not just one, but now two.
Ridiculous, GM.
Really? DENALI has always been just a name badge. Buy the SLT, don’t fall for this trap. Now, at least the GMC looks and feels more premium than it’s Chevy counterpart. That’s a huge improvement over the past.
That is always what people that can’t afford them say….On my 5th Denali XL and it is much better than the lower versions.
Picked-up ’22 Yukon Denali in Janurary, 2-things missing assist on A piller &; no ajustablele pedal for wife, Other than that a great Ride!! Later Jim
Ordered a new Denali in January. Now with the 0 percent financing, witch I think is a good offer, it will save a lot of cash and with the shipping included in the price. Am I missing something 😕?.
Unless you can pay cash it’s kind of academic.
Jaybird, thanks for the info, I have a feeling with ordering the ultimate package, it’s going to be a battle for something that should be simple!
When I ordered my 2021 in May of 2020 it was a nightmare. Might want to consider looking online at dealer inventory within 7 or 8 hours drive. My order never fully went through (even after putting 1k down as a deposit) and finally found one fully equipped 7 hours away in October of 2021. Good luck.
Ordered a 2022 in October 2021. Got a text from my dealer saying the car is built and en route to the dealership. I go in to the dealership, sign the paperwork and give them a check. It’s now February 10 and I have no car and getting ready to make a payment on a car I don’t have. Was able to see online it’s sitting in a lot in Midlothian, Texas. Should I or can I unwind my deal and wait until the 2023 come out and all this drama is over?
Mimi, Tell that Dealer to get that Veh. to you.
Wait it out! It maybe it’s almost over. The reason I say maybe is because, it’s got to get here and hopefully you approve what you see🤔. I my Denali last month.🙏 For me!
Legally there is no contract if they have not delivered the goods. Similar to purchase money security interest. Not sure about deposits, trade in, etc. but it is surprising they had you sign a finance contract without delivering the vehicle. Good luck.
With no media play what are people going to us. I looked up voxx it looks like it be pretty good substitution. At$1500 Or use iPads.
I ordered my 2022 in Oct of 21 and still it’s not in the build que. I was notified recently that the power console is no longer available. I am starting to get a nervous based on some of the comments here that I may not even get the vehicle at all. My goal was to get the diesel in tri coat frost white , Light shale interior with the blackout package. From the looks of it, It may not happen. Any suggestions??
