2022 Corvette Upgraded With New Vossen HF-2 Wheels

A nice set of aftermarket wheels can make a huge difference in the way a vehicle looks, especially when applied to a vehicle as eye-catching as the 2022 Corvette. Now we’re checking out this particular example running a set of Vossen HF-2 alloys.

As posted to the official Vossen social media channels, this 2022 Corvette is equipped with Vossen HF-2 wheels finished in Anthracite. The wheels rock a split-spoke mesh design, as well as Vossen’s hybrid forged construction process for low weight and high strength.

The Vossen HF-2 wheels are offered in a variety of colors, including Brushed Gloss Black and Tinted Matte Gunmetal as standard, and five other custom finishes (including Anthracite, as seen here) as optional. Wheel sizing is set between 19 inches to 24 inches in diameter, and 8.5 inches to 12 inches in width. Wheel pricing starts at $599 per unit.

To note, the 2022 Corvette Stingray is the third model year of the mid-engine Chevy Corvette C8, introducing just a few changes and updates over the preceding 2021 Corvette Stingray. For example, the latest 2022 model year debuts three new exterior colors, namely Caffeine Metallic, Hypersonic Gray Metallic, and Amplify Orange Tintcoat.

The 2022 Corvette Stingray is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, with output rated at 490 horsepower at 6,450 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 5,150 rpm in standard trim. Add the optional performance exhaust, and those figures increase to 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It’s also worth mentioning that the LT2 in the 2022 Corvette ushers in updates to the Active Fuel Management system and a few small alterations to the engine calibration.

Output is sent rearwards through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while under the skin is the Y2 platform. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green facility in Kentucky.

  2. Interesting as when these aftermarket wheels are viewed from the distributors there is a wait time of usually 8-12 weeks. Tomg

  5. Maybe I’m alone here, and I would like to see Chevy offer more wheel options – I think these are too “busy” looking. Keeping them clean would appear to be a chore as well.

    1. Cool thing about the aftermarket. They come in all shapes and colors!! I love purple and hope they get some good paint colors for the Z06, make them more exotic. A Galaxy Blue or Candy metal flake purple!! And rims to match would be dope.

  10. Would be nice if they would share the size for the wheels we are looking at and the size of the tires they used? Also has the car been lowered in any way and is the ride or handling effected? The wheels are nice looking but we as owners need a little more information about what we are looking at? We can find the prices but need the sizes and if they have lowered the car to know what we are looking at. Other wise it is a nice picture and while I like the wheels without knowing the sizes and if lowering took place it is hard to move forward with getting pricing or buying anything. I know they have the information and that is why it is so frustrating to not see the information that is so important to making a decision.

Please share size information on wheels and tires? Also if the car is lowered? Thanks

    1. Im with you Lee. They need to give the offsets and all the numbers as I have gotten wrong info in the past from forums and even some wheel sites didnt explain it clearly. I got some rotary forged rims and the where kicked out the wrong way. Not an issue just back up rims for my drift 350z. Its not easy getting the correct fitment. Lowering & rubbing are issues. as well as BBK and fitment also. I slam all my cars for better cornering and am glad the Z06 has adjustable coilovers from the factory. Magride with a low car is always a good thing. My 16 ATSV sedan is loaded and love the magride and handling from it.
Forged or semi-forged(many terms for it) are a great cost per strength ratio. make sure to ceramic coat the wheels for brake dust or get the CS rotors on the Z07 package or stand alone for zero dust.

    2. The rear, on this C8, is 325/25 ZR 21… probably a 12″ width wheel. Front is probably 20″ wheel x 10″ width.
But the article says there is a range of sizes up to 24″… you will have several options in the Vossen site.
The picture Corvette does appear to be lowered …
The other consideration — if you go with an even larger diameter wheel — is if you can find TIRES to fit them?
There are several good options for 20″ (front) and 21″ (rear) tires to ‘wrap’ your wheels… but 22″ to 24″ tires are going to be Rare, hard to find, and Expensive to replace. {When you find some, you may want to buy a couple of ‘extra’ sets and keep them in the garage… so they will be there when you need them, and you don’t find yourself waiting for special order replacements.

  11. An excellent alternative to the Self-Destructing wheels so many other Corvette owners were blessed with.

Now on to trying to make an ignition that doesn’t Kill it’s owners.

  14. That has got to be the best looking car/wheel combination that I have EVER seen. The owner of that vehicle is either rich, or has a very generous Son that gave him $25,000 towards the purchase price, the set of wheels and tires, and the carbon fiber add ons!
