2022 Chevy Blazer Black Accent Package Unavailable To Order

The 2022 Chevy Blazer is the fourth model year of the latest crossover nameplate, which was originally introduced for the 2019 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2022 Chevy Blazer’s Black Accent Package is currently unavailable to order.

The Black Accent Package for the 2022 Chevy Blazer is tagged with RPO code PDM and bundles together a selection of aesthetic upgrades to enhance the exterior style of the crossover. This includes (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Black mesh grille with Black header bar (SJA)
  • Front and rear Black bow ties emblems (B94)
  • Gloss Black emblem kit (RIK)

The 2022 Chevy Blazer’s Black Accent Package was previously offered as a LPO-level option, which means it was installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory when the vehicle was initially produced. The package was available for 2LT, 3LT, and Premier trim levels, but not the RS trim. Pricing was set at $950.

Now, however, the package is under constraint and unavailable to order. It’s unclear at this time when the package may be available to order again.

The 2022 Chevy Blazer introduces a variety of changes and updates over the preceding 2021 model. year, including a reorganization of the trim levels, deleting the base-level L trim and second-tier 1LT trim. The naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 LCV gasoline engine that served as the base-level engine was also deleted from the lineup.

Now, the 2022 Chevy Blazer is available with two engine options, namely the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Both engines mate exclusively to GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission. Under the body panels, the 2022 Chevy Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform. Production for the North American markets takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe factory in Mexico.
