The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is the most track-capable production vehicle to ever wear the Caddy crest, offering a combination of sumptuous luxury and supercharged performance – as well as a few carbon fiber options for the exterior. Now, GM Authority has learned that the CT5-V Blackwing’s carbon fiber packages are currently offered with limited availability.
For the moment, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing’s Carbon Fiber 1 Package and Carbon Fiber 2 Package both have limited availability. The Carbon Fiber 1 Package is tagged with RPO code CFZ, with pricing set at $4,100, while Carbon Fiber 2 Package is tagged with RPO code CFV, with pricing set at $5,230. It’s possible both are simply unavailable. It’s currently unclear when these packages will no longer be under constraint.
Carbon Fiber 1 Package (RPO code CFZ) includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Carbon Fiber front splitter (VS2)
- Front wheel well deflectors
- Rear extra aero spoiler
Meanwhile, Carbon Fiber 2 Package (RPO code CFV) includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Carbon Fiber grille header
- Rocker moldings (B6A)
- Rocker extensions
- Rear valance diffuser
Optioning in the Carbon Fiber 2 Package requires opting into the Carbon Fiber 1 Package as well.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is motivated by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which is the same engine found in several other GM vehicles, including the third-gen Cadillac CTS-V, C7-generation Corvette Z06, and Chevy Camaro ZL1. In the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, the LT4 is rated at 668 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 659 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. Output is routed exclusively to the rear wheels by way of either the GM six-speed manual transmission, or the GM 10-speed automatic.
Under those chiseled body panels, the CT5-V Blackwing rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Lansing, Michigan.

let me know when carbon fiber will be available for the ct5 v blackwing , which I ordered May 6 2021
Sorry to tell you this, but I’ve had 3 dealerships scattered across the USA all tell me “If you insist on the Carbon Fiber package(s) for your 2023 Blackwing, YOU WILL NOT GET a 2023 Blackwing.”
Do you think they will have more availability for Carbon Fiber in 2024?
I got a call from my dealership on 6/9/23 that the Blackwing I ordered on Feb 2020 was ready to be built however the 2024 is now not available with the carbon fiber 1&2 option. Not a fan of Cadillac right now and not sure I want it without carbon fiber. I suppose I could order aftermarket but run the risk of getting subpar replacements that may not fit properly.
I pretty much gave up on the carbon fiber packages. They also act really strange in the configurator. I fully spec’d out a 2024 CT5-V BW minus carbon fiber #1, then I clicked to add the option. It took away: *Parking Package, *All parking assists, *Super Cruise, AND the 10 speed auto transmission. (Forces you to take the 6-speed manual)
NET cost of the nearly $6000 Carbon Fiber #1 package? MINUS $750!
I’ve seen where a few of the Carbon Fiber packages are trickling through, but it APPEARS they’re ALL coming on 6-speed manual cars.
It seems that what I posted here almost exactly a year ago still rings (mostly) true: “If you insist on the Carbon Fiber package(s) for your 2024 Blackwing AUTOMATIC, you will NOT get a 2024 Blackwing.”
